UK, the 5th largest economy is entering a recession now. S&P historical average and median decline, more movement downwards expected, 7th consecutive week loss, almost mirroring the dot com bubble.

Trend with some regular goods/services are not typically being bought, because cost of fuel and food.

UK doesn't matter, they Brexit'd themselves into this issue.

The rest is plausible. You may be right, we'll have to see!

Alternatively, I find it equally plausible the bottom is in. When you exclude commodities, the major indices are at typical bear market/correction levels, employment is strong, the last inflation print was reason for optimism.

So who knows. I wouldn't be surprised by 20% in either direction from here over the next 6mo.

Looks wild on that graph, but you're seeing $5 movement on a $400/share security. 1.25% basically. Volatile, but not really unusual, especially in bear/near-bear times.

 

Lost in the shuffle last week were a few of those stupid IPOF $10 calls expiring. In the fucking money. So I’m the definitely not proud owner of 300 shares. Think I’ll dump them and take the $75 loss.

 

JPM up over 7%, high volume.

 

We may still see market declines for a bit yet because some of the cancer in the tech sector was never-before-seen levels of overvalued and still needs to flush, but a lot of solid companies are oversold right now.

 

I like to set alerts for prices on things like that...

I was in a catch 22....Shares weren't high enough to recover my premium...So I sold calls to close at a small loss but said "hey let's get some shares too.."
