Welcome to the porch. Sit back relax today, tomorrow is lawn work day.

Took care of quite a few small task items around the house yesterday then a nice relaxing dinner listening to music at Stan and Joe's in Galesville MD.

Today is a shopping day and drop the wool bed blanket off to the dry cleaners day.

8:48 and I've carried all of the front and back porch furniture up from the basement and drained and filled the hot tub - refilling the water now. Phew! This retired life is tough!!!

Jim musta been before my time... or at least before I noticed.

Would it be taboo if I asked what got him banned? (Is banning permanent?)

He got hit several times for various reasons - normally political as I remember - and finally got the permanent ban hammer. He was on FB for awhile, but stopped responding there also a few years back. I think Rob had an email address for him? But, he seems to have gone into radio silence.

I'll say ... free thought shared openly on a private internet forum. It's that simple and is what it is. Nuff said...

Jim was one of the first members of the thread. Was a good guy but some of the young "know it all" crowd would get him going and he wasn't one to back down. We miss him in the thread. If you look back at the first posts in this thread you'll see river rat 69. that was him. We would love to have him back.

I have tried different ways to locate him, one being through any Vizsla dog groups because Jim did some breeding and also trained his for hunting, but no luck there. Susan has tried to contact him to no avail. I have tried different search sights but like 6 said "he seems to have gone into radio silence". He did live in the Orlando FL area. If anyone does run across or hear from him, let him know we are still here.

Yesterday I took a pool water sample in to my local Pinch a Penny. The bench where they test the water was pretty busy. I got bored so I took one of these up to the register and asked the kid there if he thought it would work on a mattress. I cannot describe the look on that kids face.

    Afternoon all:

Little more trimming done today, went out to the shed to get the string trimmer and heard buzzing, figured it was a carpenter bee, looked up and there was a big something app. 2" long flying around, looked like a big hornet, possibly a queen, and I sure as heck wouldn't want to get stung by it and hopefully it doesn't take up residence ! Then hooked up all the batteries in the boat, hopefully I'll get to use it shortly!!!

It's been so long now, I forgot:facepalm:. Maybe someone else can recall what it is. Some days CRS is worse than others:confused:
