Is there anyone in the south of Boston area who has a sand blasting cabinet? Or, alternatively a tank to strip paint from small items. I have four small metal bins that hang on the inside of the doors on the vanity in my bathroom. They've been there almost 40 years and need to be stripped down and have rust removed so I can repaint them. I did one by hand with a wirebrush, but it really not that good.

I figure sand blasting in a cabinet would be a good way to do it. Feel from to PM if you have suggestions.

    Thanks.

I had the same shit happen to me. Last alignment shop that didn’t give me the damn sheet. More recent one didn’t tighten the cam bolts and my alignment was off to the right. ROKO guys got it right and well, lol.

I don't use tapatalk on the phone, either. Just the Chrome browser.

I do have it, and paid it, etc, never worked right for me.

    @mach1man001

The forums are hosted on tapatalk, and there IS a tapatalk app, however Taco world does NOT use the app, since it was buggy and the browser version wasn’t.

Using the tapatalk app will not work, but the brower still connects to a tapatalk forum when you log in.

That’s where I think Rob’s issues are coming from, his phone/brwoser/forum host combination, not so much TW and the TW mod/staff team itself.

He is switched to HTML mode instead of BB mode (I think those are the right terms). When he quotes postes in BB mode it adds like 95 line returns.

I’ve talked about our desire to move to Austin in the past.

I just checked real estate. The area we want to be in, that we’d be comfortable instead of in the middle of downtown which is just shenanigans.

I found OUR house. 1200 sq ft, 1/3 acre lot, 2 bed 2 bath (ours is 3 bed 1 bath, so just about the same).

    1.7mil.

    o_O

So uhhhh, maybe Austin is out of the question…..

Hill country is awesome. Good places to kayak, bike, and explore. I and my wife HATE the cold, and enjoy the heat. I hate how from November through March, there’s just no chance of outdoor stuff. Either it’s cold, dark, or both. Shenanigans.

But hot damn, for 2 mil vs. My current 200k mortgage, I THINK we might reconsider that up here o_O

When I retired in late 2012, my plan was that we would move to Austin when my wife retired in 2014. As the saying goes, "Man plans, God laughs." Life happened and in the meantime Austin real estate got out of control.

My daughter bought a one bedroom condo in North Austin in April. It's a nice little place in a not bad area, but she ended up paying $17K above ask to get it. At that she had $5K in equity by the time she closed.

When we were down there earlier this month we looked at some areas with relocation in mind. 3BR, 2Bath Ranch style houses with about 1/4 acre in North Austin were selling at $900K.

If you like the area, look at Bastrop and Smithville. Bastrop is seeing a lot of new construction and Smithville is still rural, but poised to take off.

Forget Bee Caves, Dripping Springs, Cedar Park, Lake Travis. You are looking at houses from $1M up. Marble Falls is still reasonable, but it's an hour from Austin which is the minimum you have to go west if you want to find anything reasonable. We haven't looked in Williamson County, but some parts of it are still reasonable. Taylor is about to take off because Samsung is building a multi billion dollar chip factory up there. Hutto is, uh, the Meth Capitol of Texas or so I've been told.

Avoid Waco, a friend who used to live in MA and now lives in the Dallas area said it's like Springfield.

Depending on your age, needs, and wants, you can get further out into the Hill Country and still get some decent houses. You'd have to be willing to live in a small town and travel a bit to do things that we take for granted in the Greater Boston area.

For those of yall that work on your woolwax coated vehicles.... keep a dollar store bottle of Palmolive in your shower it works wonders on getting it off yourself.

On another note. Just installed the firestone bags in the infiniti coil springs.

I thought it was run on vBulletin. A long time ago I tried using it to build an internal solution for something and it looks the same.
