@Drummer0247 I'm with you. Time is something I just don't have to waste. If these problems are going to be a thing I will start the process to cancel this. I would rather just buy truly OEM and be done with it after reading this.

    These wheels?

    No.

But there are plenty of options. I chose these because it seemed to be convenient and people on here had given them a solid reference.

All good. Check the post right before yours, @optysite already linked the right thread to help find the OEM ones! I've seen it before sometime back, but someone was able to actually confirm the black wheel part numbers today which is super convenient.

@Drummer0247 I'm also awaiting your update.. Are you swapping over the OEM TPMS? I want to know if those fit correctly now too

I’m not the person you replied too but I bought new Denso TPMS for these wheels and they fit fine so the OEM should fit as well since they are basically the same. When Dustin eventually logs in he’s going to have a lot of messages on his hands. He must be taking an early siesta

    Sorry guys!

Right when I got back into town last week, the guy that works under me went out of town.

So I have had to pretty much do everything around here and I'm just now getting caught up. I just got a message telling me there were a lot of posts in here and for some reason I didn't get any notifications.

Anyways...So your telling me the OEM Caps do not fit!? That is really upsetting. I'm running this by my boss right now.

Another thing, between shipping out the wheels last week we have been doing some test fitting. On the Newer 4x4 Tacomas, it may seem like the wheels are not fitting the hub bore. It's because of the Dust Cap, and the fact that the factory painted the inside of the bore hole on the wheel, which is not how we usually do it. They do fit, but they have to be tightened all the way on in a star pattern before they will sit flush. We are working now to correct this and make sure we give clear instructions.

I am really sorry for the delay guys, I just have a lot on plate. But I will do anything and everything I can to correct all these issues and find solutions (obviously I can't fix the fact that the OEM Caps don't fit). But I will do whatever I can to make things right. Please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here.

Thanks for filling us in. Glad to hear the wheels will work for those that were having issues. I’m really bummed about the center caps though, that was something I really looked forward to. I understand you can’t use the Toyota branding for legal reasons but maybe you guys could make the same center caps the wheels shipped with but in the same color scheme as the OEM caps? So for bronze wheels maybe a bronze sticker with “TRD” in black instead of red or black stickers with bronze “TRD” to more closely match the OEM? Idk let me know what the boss says to make it right

Im more worried about what happens when the tire shop breaks the center cap and we can't get a replacement. There is a reason you never see Prodrive wheels with center caps intact. Great wheels...but I hope you bought a new set of center caps for every tire change.

Thank you for understanding. I am pretty bummed to hear about this because I was told that we specifically made them compatible with OEM Caps. So I'm guessing this is a major factory error. I will find out more info and relay whatever I find out. This is a good possible solution though! I will run the possibility of getting additional cap/logo options by the boss and see what he says.
