We just retouched up the spot that you can see on the surround showed up darker on the camera than in person.

So still got to touch up a spot and clear coat it but temps dropped on us and now it's starting to rain so packed up and put them mocked together to see the color combos

    20220523_170309.jpg

I left the turn signal chrome so cops won't mess with me even more. I think it will still look good.

I used all toyota colors, raven pearl is the bowl, inferno is the red and Pyrite mica is the surround. 2k is the clear coat we are using.

Ever since the last time we went up to Philly for the Cheesesteak Meet, and I saw those V8's and then heard them. Made me miss my Tundra for a while. But I'd only get myself into trouble with the law some more so..........

The 100 series are nice w/ the 4.7's, no doubt about it. I just want solid axles if I get a LC. The Aussies have the 105 series, best of both worlds- they have the 100 series body style with the solid axles of the 80 series and a turbo diesel.

Glad to hear that. Let's hope there are no lingering aftereffects.
Sometimes I feel like I should go to the doctors to get tested, but, mental evaluations are so expensive and so personal. Plus there's too much lube involved.

And the wife is definitely on board with trading the Lexus for something like this. We already talked about that.

So would you prefer the exam without lube?

Just watch out when the doctor says put your pants over there on the chair next to mine.

The painting was all my buddy Mike I have too heavy a hand and not enough patience for light coats lol he did a great job one spot we had to redo twice though the first time fixing still left a Ridge in the paint.
    20220523_160049.jpg

Can barely see the line from the pic on the hood to check color match
    20220523_160330.jpg

    Then it was gone
    20220523_175732.jpg

There was a Ridge in the corner so I wet sanded it a second time than I actually primed it myself

So I have until Thursday to decide if I want to shadow chrome the turn signal bowl or leave it chrome. What do you all think I'm back and forth on it.
    20220523_180448.jpg
To shadow chrome or not to shadow chrome. I have adhesive promoter so it should keep it from flaking off.

I think the shadow chrome might look better with the pyrite. How much do you expect it to reduce light output?
