I'll have to look into that on my 4Runner. I'm already finding bolts that are rusty sooner than they were on my Tacoma thanks to the new salt brine they coat the roads with.

30k on the suspension and both sides seized to the point that you have to cut the strut or torch the bushing and replace. Almost no rust on the gx.

Joel busted out like a 16# BFH and nothing. I've never used a hammer that big on my truck.

I don't think mine is that bad then. @nickonfire700 helped my swap my suspension at ~50K and there was no issues. That was about 20k ago though. Every time I touch a bolt, I add anti-seize to it.

Kayaker here! Been too long since I've hit the water. I'd be down for it!

We tried everything we could think of to get those shocks off, the worst part was that the bushing was basically absorbing most of what we were throwing at it and we couldn't quite get at the center piece that was siezed. Definitely no antisieze used on those things, I still can't believe how stuck they were

Yeah, Jason's (@replica9000) 4Runner came apart with ease, granted, we didn't loosen the front cam bolts to put in the front coilovers in, so I don't know if those were frozen, but everything else came apart easily.

I'm in. Weekends I can always be free. I get a weekday off every week and got extra days thrown in over the summer. Might even be able to get my gf to come to a tacoma meet up if we're paddlin'

I kind of want to do a level kit (spacer) .. for looks.

probably 2" to the front? - would that be a reasonable goal for mod day? I've never done anything suspension wise so I'd definitely love to have help. I don't really want to affect ride too much nor do I really want to spend like 4 grand on a 3/2" lift yet

If you even remotely care about the ride and want that much, I say 5100s and a block in the rear if you aren't off road much

Probably less time and work to install the 5100s like Matt said. They're not that speedy at all. Blocks or Add a leaf, aal, for the rear. Some rake is a good thing.

I could possibly swing out on the 28th. I need to snag some stuff for a co-worker, that is doing me a HUGE favor.

Anyone in the NH area with a garage and tools available this week to help me pull #3 on a leaf pack? $ for your time and help.

Oh yeah, I was like thinking to myself wow thats.. a lot.

I'm definitely down to do like an AAL and 5100s, I guess if anyone can chime in like on 5100s vs the 6112s..? I think that's what they are. I would probably like a similar cush ride but maybe less body movement if possible as my gf claims shes always getting tossed

I have 6112s, wife had the same complaint. New suspension definitely cured the brake dive and if you have the funds to swing it, 6112/5160s are the best bang for you buck suspension upgrade imo. To get better starts pushing you into the 2k+ price range with fox/kings/whoever else.

    Shenanigans!
Coil overs and a block or aal can be done in a day. Biggest issue is you need to get in for an alignment like soon after or you'll eat your tires.

If your looking for 5100s I heard @memario1214 is the man. He does lighting to when you're ready:D

I'm swamped,, had to replace the front diff oil seal and did the ecgs bushing today. Just no time on my end this week. Maybe hit up some other local threads too.
If you're getting stationed down there I would wait. There are lots of members down there that will help too
