Great build log but I have to ask a silly question from way back. You mentioned at one point that you couldn't find any knobs to match the one on the brake controller. If you still have 2 knobs in that location, why not get 2 matching and swap the one on the brake controller as well?

    Too much.
The Redarc knob is numbered for brake sensitivity, and is lit based on brake input. However, now with the JL amp, it doesn't matter.

Trade for your speaker pods? I have etune 2 from my 2016, I forget if yours is 2020 etune 3 or you need a 2?

Very cool, what spurred the change?

Might be interested in audio pieces perhaps

I believe for the 2018 it was the entune 2 - 7" screen. With or without the drivers?

The only things I am going to sell from the swap if I get my hands on an OEM head unit are:

JL 12TW3 in Mr. Marv box - and that would have to be a local pick up thing - or a ship on buyer's dime
    Audiofrog 6x9 drivers
    Pods
    CDT widebands in the pods

The amplifier and head unit are going in the foxbody. I'll figure out a way to make that headunit work in there......

We got a 4Runner late last year, and really don't have a need for the truck anymore. It kind of hurts my wallet fuel-wise commuting in New England, and my office building has free charging, and my wife liked the idea of a Tesla enough to give me the "go-ahead" LOL

I'm 100% in for the pods dude.

I will give you anything you want from my stock stuff. Speakers, head unit, custom harness if you need it :p

I suppose you'd want cash for that. I am not sure how well the audiofrog components I have will fit in there until I see it. Is the mounting similar to the dash mount?

I'll start a DM for deets.

Yup, I might need 6x9s replaced in mine. Maybe the pods too but sounds like Dave is on them first.

Free charging ain't so bad for sure, one perk for my nephew who has a Tesla as well

If we are talking about the frog mid bass, I’ll take them. I have your baffles already right?

Yeah, the GS690s. For some reason I thought you already had a set of them. Shoot me a PM.

Yeah I thought Dave already had a set of those frogs too. Likely hoarding spares for audio experiments. So many making the switch to Tesla and other electric vehicles these days. I have to ask, what color/options did you choose on the Model 3? I drove a white P90 Model S a few years back and the factory stereo was quite impressive.

I canceled my order. I didn't realize the tax credit was dead for the tesla, and I didn't like the fit/finish of the 3 - it didn't look or feel like a $60k car. It was the midnight silver, Long range awd.

My MIL has a 2015 lincoln mkz hybrid with 32k miles on it, I'm buying that from the family (she's in a home) instead, for way less than the tesla.

I'm a little disappointed honestly, but I'm going to sell the truck anyway - we have a 4runner in the house now, and I love that truck more than the taco.....

I, too, canceled my 3 order early on when it was clear that 35k w 7500 credit wasn’t going to happen. I’d have bought a 3 at 28k but not going to spend 30+ on a car.

Cars can be fun but they aren’t trucks and never will be.

The 4Runner is a sweet platform. If it came in MT I’d have one instead of my 2016.

In all of the research I was able to do while waiting for a delivery date, and some driving and digging around in a friend's M3, I found the interior to be lacking. I was kind of surprised by the fan bois ignoring the fit and finish, the creaking, the mis-aligned panels, the poor paint coverage in the doors, etc. Not worth my money in this hyper inflated economy.

This is the problem with the whole electric car mandate and ridiculous fuel prices. The government and environmentalists DEMAND people to get e-cars, but the price point is ridiculous - even for a Kia or a Hyundai. A section of our economic class can't even afford fuel for their beat up clap trapped cars, how can they afford an e-car?

Anyway, the 4runner is actually the wife's car - and I'm not allowed to touch it modification-wise, but man, it is a comfortable ride for an Offroad. I just commute a lot and need to scale down - the wife's 4runner doesn't even have 5k miles on it, and it's a year old. The Mustang is the fun car, I just need to have something better on gas for the next 5 years, because I ain't working a day past 55.....

Exactly. To me it’s a $25k car. I’d pay 3k extra for full electric but my 2013 Prius was effectively the same thing as the 3 if not better.
