Well as far a power goes, Baton Rouge has about 40-50% power total, New Orleans and Hammond Might have about 10% of power across both cities, and I believe Grand Isle no longer exists. the storm was pretty severe. But all in all, at least in BR we are doing okay. just got power back to my house this morning. Others aren't so lucky...they are saying it will probably be 3-4 weeks for some people. 100% power restoration may not happen for at least the rest of the year.

Bump and a few days ago had a close one to me. No confirmed tornado but possible micro burst and definitely had rotation.

Got a feeling we are going to have a bad hurricane season. I'm east coast south FL. Our ocean temps usually drops down into the low 70's over the winter, nope, not this winter. Stayed in the low 80's all winter. The Abacos are unseasonably warm right now, which is directly east of me. Most people probably didnt pay attention but last week there was a cat 2 windspeed storm way east off africa that just went north and petered out in the north Atlantic.
The only positive side is if we get a few cat 3 hurricanes, which are really not bad at all, couple days off of work really, and alot of partying.....will hopefully send all the New Englanders that have infested us back to where they came from.....one can only hope.

    This and that...
This is from yesterday. Funny thing is, this is becoming normal. We may be getting winter storms in June at some point. Sounds crazy but it's May 20. Just happy that our mountains will be getting dumped on, some parts expected t get 20in. That's good for forest fire season. We may still have avalanche danger in June.

Almost seems like the seasons have shifted. Its become common here for it to reach the 70s in November

Crazy huh? Mammatus clouds aren't necessarily dangerous to those on the ground but they're associated with anvil clouds and strong thunderstorms. You don't want to fly through them.

They must have been watching the storm with their 15 year old cellphone. They can't be scared if they can't see what's happening lol

Tornado’s in Michigan are not uncommon, but this was pretty far north, which is uncommon. Weather has been weird the last few years, kinda spooky.

Yeah, that second pic looks like it’s out of a sci-fi or fantasy movie…
