I said I think the Doomers are overexaggerating.

We're 20% off market ATH. Happens all the time.

    What's not fine?

Record inflation, labor shortage, housing, student loans. I mean, I'm fine and I'll be fine... But economy sucks.

Waiting till Hurricane season next month, that will help correct the supply issues...

It'd be nice if inflation came down, but most people have 9% of slack in their budgets. And, the labor shortage is helping them with that, by pushing up wages.

What's the issue with housing? Theres a shortage, its expensive. Thats what happens during shortages.

Student loans are generally a net positive, as college grads on average have about 1 million more in lifetime earnings as opposed to those with a high school degree. And they typically do not have 1 million or more in student loans.

Economy is stuttering a bit right now - reasons aren't 100% clear, inflation, energy prices, supply chain issues, labor shortages all probably play a role. I'm confident that will iron itself out in time.

Things are not ideal, but these issues or similar are going on all the time in some form. I have yet to see signs of doomsday.

sure, but families with college age kids who are taking jobs for minimum wage are probably feeling that 9% squeeze. that kids wages are not really helping much. my sister in law who is in college had to get a second job. full time college student working full time hours just to get to school and back. she'll have nothing left in savings by the end of it. at least when i was in college i was able to still save enough saved without working full time hours to pay the interest on my student loans.

You can always pick a negatively affected singular example.

I will submit that it has never been easy or enjoyable to be poor, before now or in present times. That is not new.
