How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Any material updates? I am clearly on the same anxiety/impatient bus as most here... still sitting F status since arrival. Anything material for me to chew on? Was really hoping to see the truck this month. Just one last ride to the dealer I hope!

 

Got another door unlock alert this morning. I’m assuming my truck was moved off a rail and now waiting on a truck!

So I am one of the Nov deposit crew... finally got to the end of this thread after a few months of reading posts here and there.

MGM OR DCSB 6MT Premium (want leather/heated and sunroof), no Tech, few accessories, is my build.
Was in no hurry, tried small dealer recommended by co-worker, they seemed positive, offered a few allocations that were either auto, color not interested in, or non-premium.
Learned more on the process...
Flexed on colors a bit, Silver, Army Green, and said I would also go Sport.
Nothing from them still.
Took the multi dealer advice. Few weeks ago contacted a bigger dealer who is larger volume and also was very positive, hasn't asked for deposit. So now just waiting patiently to see if they get one close.
I was told Premium and 6MT might be a tough one, and it seems from reading through this thread, it might be.
Debating a 3rd dealer....
I figure if I don't have anything by early fall I will have to make some decisions/concessions. Until then my 08 Ford Sport Trac is doing me fine.

2nd/3rd dealer just in last couple months..

Still nothing... oh well maybe if I stopped caring it will happen..

 

Truck Veseel arrived to Newark on 05/19.

 

I spoke to a dealership in Boise, Idaho that said selling to an out of state customer would cause them to charge $5K above sticker as "Toyota is punishing dealers for selling out of state", never heard that but that is what they told me last week

 

@Rod03 Would you be able to check on the build date for VIN 3TMDZ5BN7NM17A149 ? My sales gal just told me that it was in "production", but didn't give me anything more specific.

that vin you provided appears to be a temp vin. its possible it was produced and you have a real vin. circle with your sales rep and ask for the updated real vin!

Same with a few dealerships in PA I contacted

 

From personal experience, negotiation with most became difficult when they found out I wanted to fly out and drive it back to SoCal. To me it was still a better experience than locals telling me, "We can't get you a manual offroad so how bout this $38k SR or a RAV4?"

 

Or an overpriced used Tacoma.
