well, turns out bigger truck has bigger bolts at higher torque specs...

My old torque wrench that's been fine for Tacomas, 4Runner, etc over the years doesn't read high enough for some bolts on the Tundra. Has a few bolts that the manual specs at >200 ftlb.

On the plus side, I got new tools now to use for installing truck parts.

When did you buy a Tundra, and is there enough room to fit the whole clan?

LOL. No, it won't fit the whole family. Only seats 5 so I'd have to leave 2 at home.
Picked it up used back in December.
It has been more useful working around the house than the FRS was and less likely to get me arrested on back roads. Hauls gravel, sawmill, and other stuff better than the 4Runner could have.

Yes, I fully understand the utility in a truck that you don't get in a sports utility vehicle... Did you get rid of the FRS?

Nice! Well he proved me wrong, I was predicting it would be on its lid 1st run out. I need to call his ass up and tell him what kind of cases and stuff to buy for that thing.

I heard Memphis was getting rougher, but the mall parking lot curbs must be getting really extreme to need those Yokohamas.:boink:

It's more about getting through the ladders, pallets, bumper covers, mattresses, patio furniture, and other debris in the road on the way to the mall. Curbs aren't so bad once you get there.

Supposedly the wheels i ordered for the tundra will be in stock at warehouse in the next few days. I have doubts.

Meanwhile, i don't think the new tundra tires would fit the 4Runner without some extra work.
