Hey guys, after months of window shopping, contemplating and reading I finally purchased the following items:

    - Camburg UCA’s (CAM-310078)
    - FOX 2.5 IFP Coilovers 0-3” (883-02-025)
    - FOX 2.0 RR Rears 2-3” (985-24-118)
    - ICON RXT Leaf Pack

My ultimate goal is 2.25-2.5” of lift in the front and I’m hoping to get 2” or more from the new leaf pack. I carry a tool box with about 200 pounds of tools daily in the bed of my truck. My question for the group is whether or not I need anything else? My truck is coming up on 65K miles and is my daily driver.

i would recommend upgrading the bump stops too. If you’re doing the install I would also recommend buying new ucas bolts it will make the install a bit easier.

I see this popping up more and more now, those rear shocks fit a wide variety of vehicles, so the lift height description you saw was likely not for a 05+ Tacoma rear. For a Tacoma, they are rated for 3.5-5" of rear lift, which is obviously a bit too much for your setup. Although this may seem like a good thing, your collapsed length will be quite a bit longer than what you should be running and will reduce the amount of up travel you have. This ultimately will reduce ride quality. I would probably suggest trying to switch out those rear shocks to 985-24-117 which are rated for 2-3" of rear lift. (we have in stock if who you purchased from does not).

One other upgrade you may want to take a look at, is our u-bolt flip and bump stop kit. Keeps the shocks from bottoming out before hitting the bump stop, allows for more clearance and better bottom out comfort. Although, depends on how much off-roading you plan on doing. https://accutuneoffroad.com/product/accutune-offroad-u-bolt-flip-kit-05-toyota-tacoma/

Thank you for that info! I went through Wheelers and just got off the phone with them. The guy argued with me and said he’d have someone call me back. After looking at the part numbers online it does provide 2-3” of lift but on FJ’s and 4 Runners and is about an inch longer than the 117. Not sure why they don’t specify any of that on their website and why the guy couldn’t go to fox’s website for that info. I’m hoping that I can get them to change the order before shipping. You guys might have saved me some frustration and hassle.

Looking at your u bolt/bump stop kit, what size spacer would you recommend? I plan on doing the stage 2 on the RXT pack and have a constant load of about 200-300 pounds if that makes a difference at all.

Glad we could help and hopefully they can make that change for you. I am going to update our site with a little better description. We will install the correct sleeve if its for a tacoma, or leave it out if its a 4Runner.

Our u-bolt flip chart will help you pick out the correct spacer. Just need to confirm the leaf pack and shock you are using.

Rear 2.5s and AAL finally installed. No more squat! With all four corners complete, the ride quality is improved.

Very exciting day today! Anybody know if I can mount the reservoir from the 2.0 shocks to the frame as opposed to me piggybacking it?

Finally will have a chance to work on the Taco, have the next three weekends blocked off lol. Got one step closer by swapping the coils to 14” 650lb

Planning to do the rears tomorrow and setting these up to pop in. Does the reservoir mounting look okay? FAD74EE7-7224-4D2D-955B-DA33F8BEEB56.jpg

It's deceiving because Wheeler's page for the 118 shocks lists down "Tacoma" and for 2-3" of lift. If I didn't know any better, that's what I would've opted for too, given the choice between the 117 and 118. Glad @AccuTune Offroad caught that and educated us on it.

Does anyone else find the Fox Suspension 2.0 with the Adventure Tune still find the ride to be on the firm to rough side? I don't have any bumpers or heavy armor. I've had mine for about 400 miles now and ACCUTUNE has been awesome to answer all my questions

We can certainly reevaluate the tune and look to see if we can go softer. The shocks you have are probably the softest option we offer, but if there is room to make significant changes we are happy to do so.

Sounds good let me get my sway bar blocks installed and then I can take it out in the dirt and put some miles on it and see if that helps. If not then I'll message you guys directly and see if a softer valving can be exchanged.

    ----
    UPDATE: 05/25/22
Installed the sway bar spacer blocks and with a quick call to ACCUTUNE they explained to me how they go in since the instructions really didn't show anything or explain it. Once I got them installed that solved all my binding issues and rough ride I was experiencing.

An updated install with color photos you can read would be huge with a QR code that takes the installer to ACCUTUNE website.

    Thanks for the help ACCUTUNE

Does anyone know of shops in the Portland or Seattle area that rebuild Fox shocks? I bought an '06 Taco with Fox on all 4 corners and one is leaking, so I figure I should get them all rebuilt since I don't know age or mileage on them.
