Just read LA, Calif. $6.09. San Francisco $6.49. May 23,2022.
California laws regulations, & restrictions for cleaner air are the main reasons for higher prices.

4.7 earthquake one mile from home, May 22, 2022 11:50 pm, Mount Hualalai 3rd Active volcano on our island.
We live on side Mount Hualalai.

Tacoma is always fill with gas. Ready to rumble.

Floor-it Friday has become feather-it Friday. Its annoying but it's better than the alternative? Idk what the alternative is. Also: the price of prime brisket is way too high.

It helps to meet good people over the years with more financial expertise than myself. I've invested in several areas along with flipping real estate once being more financially secure. The stock market is one area i try to keep away from. Seems unless your one of the big boys, you'll never do really well playing the market. I've been in fixed annuities from insurance companies, which were very good vs just putting your money in banks. They have three times, or better interest rates than a bank. They may not be fdic, but you hardly ever see an insurance company going belly up.

WFH all but one or two days a week, so I can definitely conserve. With bicycling being my hobby, that can occupy me enough so that the truck might sit for days.

Have a money pit of a BMW428i that gets around 35mpg so use that in the summer for those days I go into the office. I inherited it, so paid all of $36 to title it in my name. Since then, it's cost thousands in repairs. It's a complete POS in terms of reliability but a fun to drive manual 4cyl turbo coupe, so always been like-hate relationship (increasingly hate, might sell it). With the cost of insurance and repairs on the BMW, I could probably just use the Taco full time (for my limited purposes). Short answer, since you didn't ask, is never ever buy a BMW. They used to be reliable, now they are just intentionally engineered to eat cash on repairs which they intentionally make difficult/impossible for the owner to do. I hear now they charge you to use your heated seats on some models. Nope, never...

Also do at least one small trip a week to the store on my wife's e-bike (someone needs to use it). Wife drives a Prius, so on the holiday weekends when we know we're being screwed at the pump we take that.

The Taco is still used to haul my bicycles around, and whatever truck like activities get proposed by the Mrs. Except for my weekly truck fix, the Taco's mostly my winter vehicle. I drive less then anyway.

    Whew...

Completely untrue. I bet I can walk into any household that says they live check to check and find waste. Ie: cigarettes, cell phones, beer, etc. it’s not that they can’t save save it’s they weren’t taught to always pay yourself first. I’m always amazed at the people who say that don’t have any money to save the crap they spend money on.

I believe the original slider at my local Castle is still under one dollar. The cheese slider is definitely more than a dollar now...
I want to say they were 29 cents when I had my first crave.

When I was working , all the younger workers complain how life is so hard, pay is so low, cannot survive.
I would say why don’t you try to to improve yourself with taking college classes, or online training programs, or any self improvement learning programs, they all say the thing, NO time, cannot effort it, then they go drinking and party ever weekend.

I would mention about Toast Masters, it improves your speaking abilities, I mention many books they can borrow from the library, that can change there lives , improve there wealth, self help reading materials, same answers, NO time!

if you want to improve yourself! You must make the efforts to changes for the better! Or remain the same?

I would say to some extent that statement is true. Guilty myself of some of it but as I have gotten older I've tried to do better.

Also not everyone had good examples of how to handle money and deal with expenses. I grew up not well off but not so poor that we didn't have food. Though I recall have utilities disconnected many times and sherif sale notices for property taxes. I swore I'd never live that way once I was on my own and I haven't. I had to read books about money and finances to learn. I'm still trying to do better and save money for things around my house, growing my emergency fund and other things. Sometimes you have to slow yourself down some on consumer spending. It's not necessary to have the newest cell phones and electronics products or even the best brand name clothing like a lot of people do. Heck I don't have cable TV, I have the cheapest internet service, $25 cellular phone plan that's actually unlimited data too. Only one paid streaming service. Only go out to dinner once a week. I find free or low cost things to do. Its not hard once you start doing it.
Since the uncertainty we have had the last few years I'm glad I had some money put back even though I didn't need to tap in to it.

What’s with the aloha at the the end of ever post? I mean I get it if you are leaving the thread or just posting once but is it really needed in every post?

I know what it means but how man people do you see saying goodbye after ever post? Are you even Hawaiian? Or are you just some white dude that happens to live in Hawaii? If I move to Germany does that make me German? It’s not cute it’s annoying. Stop doing that.goodbye.
