I have a lot of the 24v Kobalt tools and I love them. I have never had any issues with them. I do like that they make a 4 battery charging stand. Makes my life easier then having a bunch od single chargers everywhere of forgetting to switch battery's out.

As a matter of fact I looked online at a few Kobalt tools. Got my eye on the cordless drill and trimmer that both appear to use the 24v 4.0AH battery. I've had a Kobalt hedge trimmer for almost 6 years - like you no issues with it. The battery seems not to have deetiolated at all.

I didn't realize they made a multi-battery charging stand. I'm going to check into them some more.

Shopped around for grilles, I’m thinking of getting a mesh one with raptor lights but I’m open to having my mind changed. Also aced my interview at Tire Kingdom so I’ll be starting in late June. Now comes the hard part of letting my coworkers and manager know I will be leaving, telling the students is gonna be the hardest part I think though.

Truck rides amazing, it's on Feal coilovers and Viking shocks in the back, LA isn't ideal for lowered cars but this is a toy so I don't mind, if it was daily I wouldn't lower it.

Used the same video. Worked out great except........I did NOT put that second wire clip back in...it'll be fine :) . What a pain in the ass to get out, or to even see it to figure out how to get it out.

Just got the bed rack, step bars, and bull bar off. Then put the locking tailgate handle (totally worth it) and new bed cover on! Looking much better already.

Gave the tailgate some love.... When I put my Allpro tailgate cover on I noticed the plastic nut/inserts were so blown out you could turn the screws with your fingers. So I replaced those, and sprung for a new cap. Man that was expensive. Truck better last another 10 years! Also replaced the missing rubber stop.

Then I did a little fit-up of a Sherpa roof rack and this Yakima water tewb. Will need to relocate the light, which needs better mounts anyway. (Current mounts SUCK! So vibe-ey the light looks like a strobe when driving) The Sherpa rack is a nice product but a) drilling holes in the gutter no matter how much sealant you put on seems like a bad idea. And... to get things to look/stack up the way I want, it is going to require some... mods...

Installed new 5100s with OME 887s on my 07 only to then realize that Wheelers Off Road set them up on the third perch up...

    5100 X 887.jpg

Emailed Wheelers and they told me they set it up correctly and the way you get 3" lift on a 2nd gen with an 887 is to set it on the third perch. They don't give any other option for the 887 so I assumed it was the bottom perch they would set the OME Spring on:

    Wheelers 887 Options.jpg

Now getting ready to take the coilovers to a shop to lower the perch down to the bottom so that the 5100 isn't dealing with excessive preload.

And the list continues as I replaced my blower motor and found out both my inner cv boots are torn :frusty: however the blower swap took 2 minutes so at least that wasn’t too bad. Thanks @KaroS for the video

Toyota makes a reboot kit. Not too difficult to install, I did this on mine a couple months back. Need a brass punch, snap ring pliers, and some special pliers for the toyota clamps.
