Did you have to remove the dash for this. I have a new switch and my research tells me the dash needs to come out to get to it. :annoyed:

Heads up on the blower motor. I replaced mine last year with the best option from Rockauto. After a year its starting to rattle...

@BassAckwards I saw your reply to my post but it isn't showing up in the feed for me.

I have never heard of needing preload on an 887 either, especially preload all the way on perch 3.... I also was under the impression that you should never put an Old Man Emu spring above the lowest seat on a 5100, although some people put them on the .85" seat. When I lowered the truck to the ground the springs didn't compress at all because there was so much preload, had almost 25" hub to fender.

Pretty annoyed that I payed for assembly from Wheelers just to have to take them off and reset them...

Yeah I haven’t heard of preloading them either. Everything I’ve seen is that the 887s will give you the 3 inches of lift on the lowest setting. I would be bothered as well. They should be well versed in this

id be asking them for a refund of the assembly cost since you have to have the springs changed again

Has anyone used the Powerstop heavy duty rotor and pad kit from Rock Auto? I’m specifically looking at the Z36 truck and tow kit. TIA

Not necessarily. If it's the lower section of switches, you can remove the coin tray and reach under. The top section of switches I do believe you have to remove a few pieces like the door trim, kick panel, kick panel screw thing, dead pedal, tray on right side of the steering wheel, two bolts on either side of the steering column.

I have it. I didn't order from Rockauto though. Huge improvement over stock! I wish I bought the rear set before they almost doubled in price.

Yeah, I heard of it happening before, shoulda ordered from @HeadStrong Off-Road I guess.

Seems like the consensus is that it is unsafe to have the 887 so high, so I would hope Wheelers isn't doing this with every single 5100+887 rolling out for the 2nd gen. Also if this is what they say is correct then they should definitely have another option for the 887 assembly that would be set lower...

Nice I pulled mine yesterday. New one is showing up tomorrow, and got the parts to rebuild the original as a spare coming next week.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. The passenger side decal is fading. Any tips for a clean removal? My only fear is that after 190k there's going to be a shadow or at least some paint fade if removed.

Girlfriend’s Sonata broke down on the way to work, she was on the highway when she started to lose power but she was able to coast down an exit and onto the side and called me to come help. Threw a bunch of tools into the taco but this was above my pay grade so I moved the taco into the shade and we hung out to wait for the tow truck driver.

Hey, at least her engine has a lifetime warranty. Probably the dreaded Theta2 engine failure that plagues so many of those sonatas.

I ordered factory part from my local dealer, no issues. Didn't want to take a chance on Rockauto for a critical item.
