    Yeah, would not recommend.

Also, your stuff is worth WAY more in aggregate than you think. Like 3 or 4x at least.

Have a coworker currently going through a claim with a different company due to a small house fire, pretty much burned his car port, shed, and part of his kitchen. It is crazy how they handle stuff like that. They pretty much are paying them for everything inside the house even if it wasn't touched by flame, because they can't get the smoke smell out of things. The numbers he has been throwing out have been crazy! I definitely see why they say to take a video of your home every once in a while for insurance purposes!

I filed one big claim when my son totaled his Tacoma. Had a check in about a week. They paid me more than what I paid for the truck. Get the accident forgiveness with your policy. It’s a little extra but paid off for me.

Yeah, even if you know all the stuff that went missing, your mental math on what it all adds up to is always short.

Once you have to itemize out everything that went missing along with value and est purchase date, you start to realize how much just general clothing, etc costs. Let alone specialty stuff like a whole pile of rock climbing equipment, etc.

I did accident forgiveness and the 20% overpayment in the event of a total loss to get a replacement.

Finally! I persevered through a presumed sinus infection (I really need to go see my doc) and pulled a new wire from the heater relay in the fuse box to the blower motor...after searching in futility to find the IA4 connector in the dash.

    https://youtu.be/6zR6nmC-POc

Splitting the fuse box was easy following the link I found and posted earlier in the thread. Was able to get just enough room to get underneath and tap the B/Y at the heater relay.

Such a satisfying ending, fixing it after all the troubleshooting.

For sure. It only ended up costing me 10 bucks in wire, a few hours of time, and a couple cuss words...lol

I did get into my Dr too. Have a dose of antibiotics on board as well as a prescription of several days off work/rest.

@EatSleepTacos - you are a parts search guru...can you help me locate the white "wire tunnel" that the black scuff plate clips onto on the floor of driver's side front door for a Tundra? It is about 8 inches long, and the carpet also clips onto it. I looked for an hour on Mcgeorge and can't find it. Whoever did the install of the power steps on mine broke it and the trim piece pretty badly.

This is the trim piece I am referring to, it might help you get a better visual of what I am talking about.

I’ll poke around but it’ll be easier if you PM me a picture of your door jamb sticker.

I don't know about the rest of you...but I woke up this morning absolutely sick to my stomach! I haven't had the news on much the last few days so I didn't learn of the tragedy yesterday until late last night/early this morning. I felt like I had no choice but to talk to my 8 year old on the way to school about "Run, Hide, Fight" ...it is sickening. Things were not like this when I was a kid. As a lover of firearms and without getting too political, a strong supporter of the second amendment, I can't help but feel in the pit of my stomach...something needs to change...what it is, I have no idea. But things cannot continue to go the way they are in this country. My heart is broken and I feel so helpless...

    End rant

This stuff was always in the forefront of everyone's thoughts while I was in school. Columbine happened and then we had the DC Sniper to deal with too. I feel like now it is too glorified so these kids with serious issues decide they want to do terrible things.

I whipped up a rough draft of all my suspension components torque value for me to check before every trip. I’ll laminate it and use a dry erase marker to make sure I don’t miss anything.

I already forgot calipers on the list, so I’ll do a dry run tomorrow and make corrections as needed.

This is a genius idea! I need to do some stuff. 150k maintenance coming up in less than 1k.

I even bought a laminating machine just for this! They’re surprisingly inexpensive. Gonna laminate all the things.
