    No problem, thanks!

I have Toytec Boss coilovers up from and their shocks in the rear. 1.25" spacers on all four wheels, OME springs for 3" lift in rear and the Boss gives me 2.5" in front w/winch and bumper. Also, I have SPC UCA's.

I must say the ride in town is greatly improved over stock and, I've stuffed it with ZERO rubbing even thought it's close.

PS: I want the rarely talked about skinny 35" option:thumbsup:

yeah I was just using the king shocks as an example. I don’t plan on doing anything massive like big rock climbing or bouldering. Just want something that feels really nice when you’re bombing
yeah it seems like they clearly know nothing other than what it says in a “book” the only problem is I’m in an area where there isn’t any shops that specialize in the Toyota’s or doing this stuff. So no one within 400 miles knows anything about all this.

Best advice I can give... is go Skinny. I love my Kenda Klever 35x10.5, CMC and minimal trim necessary w/ a high caster UCA, in my case SPC maxed out. I cut up my fenders when I had 315's wish I woulda just got the Kenda's first and left most everything else intact.

    So my overall setup is:

    OME BP51
    4Runner Trail Edition Wheels (7.5, +15mm, 17")
    1.25" Spidertrax
    CMC
    No Fender Liner
    Hammered Pinch Weld.
SPC UCA set to max caster
    Kenda Klever 35x10.5 17

Do you need the spacers to keep from rubbing the uca? Or are they just cosmetic?

Good choice. Skinny's arent that great. Go big or go home. Dont be scared to cut either

skinny 33s vs 35s.. 35s are definitely much cooler

Cooper ST Maxx for both. I am getting ready to sell them. That picture was from 2017. They now have ~40k miles, still in perfect condition

I'm running 35x12.5 right now, and it was a pain in the ass. Kiss your fender liners goodbye, do something about your intake, cut fenders, CMR, pinch weld, giant hammer from a cartoon, and SPCs.

35s on 20x9. The rims are a +10 offset and using 1.25in spacers. Still using the stock UCA. Did the CMC, hammer pretty much a good amount of the pinch weld and firewall, I kept the finder liner but adding 3/8 spacer to the bump stop and heated/massages the liners back, and trimmed a bit of the front bumper and bottom of the fender. I still rub but not so bad.726E0EF9-3BF7-49A6-904C-0CC1C30A7DB6.jpg

The skinny 35’s I have looked at are the same width as the stock 265mm tires, so I assume they will not rub the uca using the stock wheels. I have not tried to fit them myself.

Toytec told me the UCA's were mostly to make sure I would have enough castor adjustment. That's all I know.:notsure:I did what they suggested and have had ZERO problems.
I bought my parts from Toytec and had several conversations with them and they were VERY helpful and knowledgeable. So, if you buy something from them, they may be a good resource to consider. Also, I was living in Denver at the time and going to the shop and talking face to face was very convenient.

I have researched some of the brands mentioned here for "skinny" 35's and I'm really not seeing anything for 16" rims. I LOVE my OEM's! So, I would have to go to new rims+tires+gears at a minimum?
    Damn...:spending:

I think there is only one option for skinny 35’s on 16” rims: interco super swampers (they do come in radial and bias versions, so I guess that is 2 options)

Tall skinny bias ply 35s would either make people think you are the biggest bad ass in the neighborhood or make them wonder if your are on the autism spectrum. D00d, why aren’t you running 285 KO2’s? They the shit, man. Just trying to help you out.

I was trying to determine if you could drop the spacers. Spacers generally make clearance to the cab mount worse, but help with clearing the uca's. So if you don't rub the uca's without the spacers, you don't need them, and would gain clearance to the cab mount for fitting your 35s

Okay, I looked at those and...well...that's not really what I would like for tread pattern for the "occasional" off-road user. Those look like more "dedicated" off-road use to me IMHO. Thanks :hattip:but, I would rather change rims and deal with a more well rounded tread design if I do this at all.

I read these threads once in a while hoping it magically got easier since the last time I looked. It hasn't. :anonymous:
