I put baits all along the top of my garage walls where the bastards live and scurry. Wife and I pulled into the garage one weekend and were jamming to a song so we sat in the car a minute and then one of the bastards knocked the bait down and it fell on a drain pipe about 4 inches down from the top edge where it was and we sat and watched this thing struggle to grab it and pull it back up to the ledge and then pull it into wherever it went.... Needless to say I don't think those things were working very well.

Few nights ago I saw a mouse run across the basement floor , so I went and bought some of the little old school wooden traps and some peanut butter. Checked it a couple times and the peanut butter was gone but the trap didn't go off. So I sat and watched the trap. Turns out he didn't weigh enough to set of the trap I guess. So I re baited and waited. This time he was up there enjoying the peanut butter, I shot the trap with my bb gun. Boom! Got him.

When I bought my house, turns out the property had big as hell Norway Rats under the deck, under the AC, had burrows in the front bushes, etc.

Rat traps worked like gangbusters on them, but the juveniles didnt set off the traps so I got mouse traps and that finished them off. Except for one rat that was the big Mack Daddy. He had a trail worn in the grass he was so big along his common route. Never could catch a glimpse of him for a few weeks.

One day a little later I came home, and this thing was out struttin his stuff along his game trail doing a no kidding rat interpretation of a "crip walk", and I caught him slippin in the open. COuld find the BB gun but had just got back from an NRL match...

Turns out a .22LR running subs through a can is damn near 0 decibels :anonymous: Thankfully I had no neighbors in the surrounding houses at the time.

Just got a phone call. Gotta a/c job tomorrow. He will be in the attic over the garage and I will be replacing the outdoor unit. Should be nice weather for it. Might make a lil scratch.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
The rodents and I signed a treaty as long as I keep feeding them They don`t chew things that they should not!

It seems to be working since I built the living quarters in the shop

Almost time to buy another 50 pounds of rodent Chow I wonder what it costs.
