Wrapped up the stereo upgrade (for now, lol). Previously upgraded dash and doors and finally got around to tidying up the amp install and adjustments. Ended up going with a Key 200.4 and before I got that installed I ordered a 10' sub and a Key 500.1. :D

Put amps under drivers seat and sub on floor behind passenger seat it actually fits perfect and is the same height as the factory compartment under the jump seat so it creates a nice platform for storage. Sub is a Kicker 10" 2ohm in a downfire box even at 300 watts from the Key I had to add a bass knob to turn it down. Very happy with the way it sounds now but I've been bitten and will probably run it for the summer then Bi Amp the 200.4 into some higher end components up front and ditch the rear doors altogether.

If you're looking for a space saving amp the 500.1 isn't much bigger than the 200.4 For reference both amps are mounted on a 10"x10" piece of 1/4" ABS and still had room for + and - junction blocks. Love the way these Key amps are small and mostly self tuning for us audio newbs. Having the amps under the seat also allows for much easier adjustments after install.

Thank You. It's obviously not full blown custom but it sounds great considering I'm just over a grand all in including the previously installed doors/dash and sound mat. Well worth the money. Door/dash upgrade was great for a month or so , then...well...you know.

Made a little deadening and speaker install progress in 102 degree heat. :bananadead: Continuing tomorrow. The SecondSkin Pro 2mm is very nice quality and easy to work with and the Focal RCX-165's sound amazing for the $105 price point.

I just installed the RAV4 side mirror glass since I’m a peasant without BSM.. I didn’t take pictures bc it got dark pretty quick. It was super easy other than the heating wires were a bit stubborn to remove. Still took less than 10 minutes to do both.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Amazing how small high power amps are these days. This is my old school system in my other truck. Each amp is bigger than both of those. Lol

Not hard at all, 2 screws and push pin. The door handle just pushes out, but be mindful of the cables. Putting it back together is another thing. The clips on the top left of the panel like to fall back into the door cavity and the white circle clips need to be pulled with pliers and attached to the door panel before clipping the panel back on to the door itself. The door panel just hangs on metal below the window and clips in with a bunch of plastic clips.

Extra clips can be bought from Amazon.

you can do it the hard way or the easy way.

I got a small spray bottle with water and a couple drops of soap. Spray the cup and the guard, apply, line it eye perfect and press from the middle and work your way out. Then keep coming back to apply a little pressure from the middle to get any bubbles and water out.
