Those carb sync gauges are the exact same as my best friend has !!

He used those gauges to sync the Keihin flat slides on the Yamaha R1's he ran in the dirt track dwarf cars . We even used it on my Camaro when I was running tunnel ram

Good morning everybody. Guess what, more :rain:

We had several rounds of storms come through yesterday. Lost power 3 times for 20-30 minutes. It did stop and was just overcast late afternoon. Forecast for more today.

Too many good roads are being paved in the name of progress IMO. I’m actually planning on going up to AK on the Yellowhead and Stewart-Cassiar Hwy and avoiding the AlCan for the most part on the up leg. This is also paved but is highly recommended by several dual sport motorcycle guys I know who have made the drive. They said it’s scenic and doesn’t have the super highway feel the AlCan has turned into. I’ll use the AlCan to get home.

The “Dirty 4” I mentioned are the last of the long haul gravel roads up there. The Dalton, Dempster, Denali and Top of the World Hwys. The plan is to drive them all :fingerscrossed:.

You’re making the right choice IMO. The Cassiar is lovely, except lots of frost heaves when I drove it. Also going that route you should go to Hyder. You can see more bears there (including in the RV park!).
The long long lakes in BC are lovely too. Actually we thought BC was prettier than AK.
Atigun Pass can be quite exciting we found on our way to Deadhorse. When we went you couldn’t drive the last few miles to Prudhoe Bay, only could take a tour bus. Not sure now.
Oh you’re going to have a grand trip! I think you should write us a report with pictures?
