Someone's truck posted up at our local dealer. Looks like it was towed, hard to see in the pic but the front suspension is all fucked.

Who's truck? Haven't seen it around town before.

    Big thumbs up!

May seem like a small thing, but it took a big effort, and it made the world a better place.

They say Heeps are for the trails, it was not supposed to mean they leave the trails,,,, of parts.

Shoe Lake trail is listed as 3+ on OF4WD (presumably gets more difficult past the actual Shoe Lake). How far did you guys go?

Somewhat around, don't have the details or bothered to check. There are plenty of logging roads around the area. We camped most of the weekend, didn’t air down even.

I have vibrations here and there . Is it more than likely if my needle bearing was needing replacement, there would also be a bit of noise involved? And it would go away with 4WD?

    That's the typical symptom right?

I'm thinking along with my alignment being a tad off, my tires are hella outa balance too....causing vibration leading up to highway speeds on random occasions. Because there is no noise/4wd unaffected.

Am I looking for a reason to not change out the bushing? Yes, but still...

    Dunes in Michigan in August.

    Taco update.....
As some of you may or may not know 2 weeks ago I had my truck into the dealer with a intermittent 4wd issue. Sometimes it would go into 4wd sometimes it wouldn't. Sometimes it wouldn't come out of 4wd either. They dinked around with it and couldn't find the issue and sent all their data to Toyota Canada. Got a call yesterday from my service advisor that they need the truck for a couple days to do some " electronic testing" of the 4wd actuators and bla bla bla.
I wonder what they'll say after that?

This is a longshot but does anyone have the 8" ECGS bushing sitting on their bench without plans to install for a few weeks? I've got a leaking diff that I found today, need to do seals and a bearing/bushing asap (this weekend).

My proposal would be that I buy your bushing at a premium, or I take it and order you a new one from overlandoutfitters. They should have them in stock (we can confirm) and would likely have them out to Ontario within a couple weeks.

Anyone in need of trail karma? I used mine up ribbing @tacoma16 at the cleanup for not bringing a truck... which is why I'm in this position.

Ahaha I actually don't think it's the bushing which is why I'm wondering if there's usually noise associated with the failure as well - because I don't have any.

I replaced mine before any craziness happened....ahead of the curve as they say.
    An absolute first for me.
As far as the bearing...I heard only vibration to start...I no nothing of noise. I would imagine if you leave it you will eventually hear noise...just prior to catastrophic failure.
