    Tinted windows - weathertech floor mats - removed front mudflaps - no seatbelt chime mod - fogs on anytime mod - Borla catback exhaust - afe throttle body spacer - K&n filter - Kmc Xd hoss wheels 17X9 4.5 backspace - rubbers are 275/65 17 yokahama geolander a/t's - Maxtrac 4" lift spindles - allpro standard leafsprings - 1.25 rear wheel spacers - arctic white headlights and fogs - kings coming soon - supercharger coming later
    Anybody ever heard of buying all the components from toyota or parts yard " off of a good totaled one.. lol "and installing it on a prerunner to become 4x4? :)

    I was going to do that if I got a pre-runner. There is a thread about it on TTORA and there might of been one on here but I don't recall.

    Ya personally I would just sell the truck and buy one with 4x4 already, Gonna be alot of work and time to get 4x4. Not to mention the $$$

    Thats very true, if i could do it for around 1500 -2000 $ id tackle it :)

    If you do all the labor, then the parts is all you need.

    ^^ oh yeah i will definately be doing the work, im kind of a gearhead, i just dont fool with internal engine work.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Bingo. If you source the parts from junk yards, it should fall around 1500 bucks. Plus, you can use the manual T-case from an FJ.

    My buddy did a 4x4 swap on his F250 power stroke. I know it's nothing like a Tacoma, but he came out pretty good. He bought a totaled Excursion for $800 and used all of the 4x4 parts and then sold his stock parts. He also took the Excursion to the junk yard when he was done and got $ for it. He ended up coming out spending a lot less than everyone was expecting. I think it was <$2000.
