here’s the wall framed for reference, no not attached just free standing. This space this wall is for is the toilet closet.

do yourself a favour and sheet the interior portion of the pocket door wall with 1/2" plywood then sonopan before drywall

Bumped a panel on the back of my house while mowing Saturday and found rot underneath....

 

The panel or the sill plate and studs? One's an easy fix. The other isn't.

 

The question now is front the costs or make a claim with insurance...

 

No, my exterior is all painted wood. It's a terrible design. I'd probably just replace it all with vinyl siding except the front. That's brick.

Best I got at the time. But its all like this, but its on the backside where the Fireplace 'floats' above the ground (there's literally no foundation underneath the fireplace...) and it's a taller board along the bottom side.
My house on the right, My neighbors mess center and left.


It's just to the left of this photo but looking at this, that foot plate looks warped too.... Also you can admire the wonderful job that the cable people did....

Thank you! This is sort of what I was thinking and why I was questioning but I didn’t have a solution. This is great.

 

Yeah, he leaves to go to the bar and work. His son brings him groceries and brings in his mail.
