I've got the cheaper version of that machine - a 2008 x500 that just rolled over 600 hours. Same thing minus the water cooling and hydraulic steering/deck lift, and mine has the 48" deck. It's a fantastic machine. I only have about 1/2 acre of lawn but a lot of it is uneven and hilly. The traction on the x500 is awesome - my old Craftsman was hopeless on some of the slopes and this one has no problem. If it does struggle, a quick tap of the diff lock pedal is all it takes to get me out.

What is the preferred grease here for front end loaders?
My manual just says to use a moly grease rated for high pressure.
I've seen a few variations of moly grease online.

1/2 ounce of Kroil in each cylinder, let it sit a few days and see if you can break it loose. If you can then there is hope for the old gal yet.

Old furnace belt drive blowers are the cat's meow for pushing a ton of air from something that takes up little room. The velocity also makes it hard for bugs and such.

    Guilty... :anonymous:

I have used Kendall Super Blu L-427 on everything for 30+ years, the question specified a moly grease. I went and looked, the Kendall isn't a moly -- but then I don't have a loader either... :(

Edit: If I bought a loader I would read the manual and get the recommended grease, I'm a stickler for that stuff actually.

Edit, edit: ...or I over think it a lot... :notsure:

    Reserected from the dead.
Greasing the thing is more important than the type.

Move the dirty grease out, and replace it with clean grease.

    Wash, rinse, repeat.

    That's what I did. LOL.
Had the grease gun out for the mower spindles and just did the loader without thinking about whether it might spec something different.
I'd bet that for my occasional residential use, @koditten is correct that just having grease in it is the important part. If I was doing industrial or agricultural work with frequent heavy use, then type of grease might be more important.

I use red grease from TSC, forget the type. It’s all I keep in the gun and use it on everything. Like Kirk said, doing it is more important than the type

Mowed the main yard(old farm house) at the church property yesterday, nice sunset and views. 20 acre tract for a future build.

Yesterday, Kubota called, my big Orange :woot: is in route to Texas from the Georgia factory.
It will probably spend another week or so, hopefully not 2 at the dealership, since the factory is not doing any options, they are rolling them out to speed up production.
They also told me the air ride seats are on back ordered til December, I told the dealership that's OK, yall will just have to cover my chiropractor care until then, LOL.

Yup 3% moly, I buy from TSC when on sale.
And religiously grease the points every 10 hours.

    Yall grease your loaders? :anonymous:

    JK. I do.

But the shared NH TC40DA does not see much care from my in-laws. When the bolts broke off and the pins fell out, they replaced the pin with a bolt that just jingles around in there and you have to get off and kick it back in place every so often. They bought new pins for it. I'm sure they'll ask me to do the work. That'll be fun to get back into those elongated wallered out holes.
