The 2022 XSR900 has a lower seat height than the MT09SP and older XSR models, and gets most of the goodies hand me down from the SP.

I think it may be the best bang for the buck motorcycle out right now. Certainly ones that outperform it in performance and ones that are more budget friendly… but for the money, what would you call it’s closest competitors?

It’s more bike than I’ll ever need, but MAN are they nice… my Chief is too much power for me to fully utilize already. I know I don’t need an even faster bike. But you have to admit it’s a lot to like for not much compared to a lot of other bikes.

The only things it’s missing over the SP is the Ohlins, which isn’t a big deal to me.

It finally has cruise control even! I’ve been spoiled by cruise now…

What would y’all get over it?

thanks for the tag, I’ve been putting down some miles but the new 4 spd gearbox I have is just not right so I currently am awaiting a 5 spd replacement en route from the UK. I had to rig a jockey shit just to ride and that was getting annoying.

 

Also, is amazing to see that film come together, back in 2019 I met a bunch of those guys at the Barber vintage festival in Alabama. Was able to have a drink with the grandson of Philip Vincent. He was pumped to have people to hang around with that were his age.

 

It's an '07 with just over 8k on it. Tank is plastic but in great shape. From what I read, most of the problems stemmed from storing it for months with ethanol gas in it. I think the longest I've ever gone without riding has been just around a month and I have access to ethanol free gas, so not too worried about it. More concerned about how pulling the clutch is like using a Capt. of Crush hand gripper. It's pretty ridiculous...

Sold the Street last weekend, made a $40 profit, and found this one for a little less. At this rate, I'll be able to afford a new XSR or MT09 after... 100 more of these transactions!

Nothing! I think I'd be happy to have either one and keep it forever - #truelove! lol
