I will be a big ol 59 in July. It sucks lol but beats the alternative.
Big changes between 50 and 60.

I hear you, but I stumbled on a pic of me from about 10yrs ago. Not good changes.

That said, this year has been fun so far.

Lol when I was in early 50's, I was still in 40's mode. Now that I'm close to 60, I'm in 60's mode. Big big difference. Good luck and have fun. I still am! My 38th wedding anniversary is this weekend! She will be eligible for full social security haha as she is 65 this year.

I never thought I would get this old.

    Congrats!

I'm trying to get back to 40s mode, but I was stuck in 60s mode for a little while. Dammit!

    Retirement is thee goal.

Might be because you are from Florida, I’ll soon be 75 and still going strong, my neighbor is 80+ and can work circles around me.

That’s almost the same color scheme I had on my 79 FWD.

My 1981 black 4x4 had the same design graphics. Nostalgic as well as classy. Well done!

My first Toyota was a 1981 red 2wd with a 4 speed manual, in 1983 I bought my first 4x4 SR5 short box in metallic gray with those same stripes. I have had 15 different Toyota pick-ups and 3 4Runners lol. I use to be a master tech for a local Toyota dealership back in the 80's.

Lol! Don’t worry it only gets better, think I feel healthier now at 50 than I did in my 20s. (also worked construction and drank an awful lot back then too ha!) Another nice thing about aging is, the less fucks you give… :D

With the kids getting ready to launch, I think that will help.

This thread gets more interesting every day...
    I've had two 1st Gen's 1 2nd Gen, and this is my 2nd 3rd Gen. I've had a 1985, and 1990 pickup.
    In between, I've had a CJ7, YJ, TJ, and a JK, 3 Mustang GT's...
Every time I keep coming back, I absolutely love my VooDooBlue!!
I got it as a retirement gift to myself, and probably could have had any vehicle I wanted, within a max price of probably $65,000. And I did get what I wanted!! Now if I add in the cost of all my mods...well, I just don't want to add that up...
    This is MY perfect vehicle.
Never been into full size trucks, don't know why, but the smiles per gallon are well worth the price.
Recently I've been thinking about maybe selling, due to some unexpected expenses, but I know dam well that even the thought of that would be a "last resort" kind of thing.
Here's to hoping the 4th Gen doesn't start to call my name.
A big part of the fun for me is all the aftermarket stuff that's available for the Tacoma, and the same can be said for the Jeep's, and Mustangs I've had, every new product that comes out for the Taco, keeps my truck fresh and new to me.
Smiling right now as I'm tinkering with the locks on my RSI....
I'd like to think that one day one of my kids, or grandkids will remember how much fun I had with it as they drive it.
