Let me know what you hear. It would be such easy access, everything else that's worthwhile is pretty far.
I actually don't know of any stream systems in the area that can be accessed by trail. Maybe Uintas?

Going to Jarrod's Place for the second time tomorrow. The trails are great, decently steep. Was my first time using a shuttle and it's amazing not being gassed for the downhill lol

I've debated going this weekend, but definitely not tomorrow. I'll be putting up some garage doors.
It's close enough that I wouldn't have to plan to much. Maybe a holiday weekend on a Sunday or something.

I have a 2015 Tallboy2, so not sure if my example applies to newer bikes, with different geo, longer reach etc, but I’m just over 5’10” (and shrinking) with 32” inseam and I ride a Large. It’s not too big. If you can’t try something local to you, call the SC Bicycles factory demo center at (831) 576-2848 (Pacific Timezone) and I bet they could offer guidance. They fit people all day long.

This is an interesting idea I hadn't thought about. I'm gonna do some research into it. I probably won't make a decision until more info comes out about the new pike generation that just leaked

The ‘goose didn’t come down off the rack ‘til 00:45 hrs PDT.

I took it for a ride at 1:00 hrs. I finally hit the sack at 2. I guess I really wanted this . . .

I was preparing a more elaborate sissy bar when I found out that I was out of gas and could not weld. It was too late to go to the welding shop and so I fabricated up another sissy bar (that I didn’t have to weld) from the longest piece of 1/2” tube that I had left.
    6A6A35A4-0CC5-49FE-BF7D-28E391E79998.jpg

It was going very well and when I got to the last bends I kinked the tubing.

At that point I said screw it, I will just upholster the thing, and I hammer whipped it on the anvil until I had a shape that would work. I covered up my hammer marks with some black and white vinyl purse straps, which almost matched the seat.

This will not do for long. The seat is too far forward. It is also too small and doesn’t have much padding in it.

Unfortunately I had a typo in my post, I have a z2 not a z1 so it's the 34 rhythm bastard, not compatible with any of the nicer dampeners.

Pissing off the neighbors of course.
Gotta establish dominance in the neighborhood somehow.

I got all the hammering done before 10 PM.

But it took me hours to straighten it and lace it and relace drill and tap it and screw it.

It is so strange to look at those pics and think that I built these crazy bikes as a kid and now I am doing it again. Only with more money and more chrome.

Finally took the bike out for the first time a few days ago. Buddy of mine suggested an “easy” trail at a local park, and his definition of easy appears to vary a bit from mine. lol

steep drops, roots everywhere, chunky climbs, you name it. One guy I met on the trail laughed when I told him this trail was my first time out :anonymous:

It kicked my ass, but I am pleasantly surprised with how capable the Marlin 6 is! I’m really excited to give it another go on a more beginner-friendly trail.
