Do you think a cheap angle grinder from harbor freight would be sufficient?

With a grinding wheel and not a cutting wheel, yeah that should work fine

If we are switching from stock offset wheels to these wider offset wheels is it a good idea to get an alignment or will it not change anything?

I ground the cap down pretty far, some of parts are very very thin, still can’t get them to fit in the wheels…doesn’t even look like I’ve made a difference as I still can’t even get the threads started on the lugs

what am I doing wrong here?

It’s weird that mine fit, or allegedly fit, with no issues? Is everyone having the same issues?

I am in the same boat as you. I went to Big-O, and they didn't say bupkis to me. I was there the whole time too. Either we got lucky, or we're in for further developments next time we go to remove the tires/wheels from the fronts.

I got home from work and did a test-fit on the front. No-go. Special thanks to @Johnny77 for being so responsive!

Yeah I should not have ground down that frontal area. I went back and worked my way around flat portion you ground but then I accidentally went too far down and my cap has a hole now haha!

Alright guys, we have made a discovery regarding the Caps.

The bad news is...Apparently the factory mixed up the Caps and made the wheels compatible with Tundra TRD Pro Caps. That was obviously not the intention.
The good news is...There are OEM Caps for Tundra/Sequioa/Land Cruiser TRD Pro that are exactly the same style, and they do fit!

We ordered one in and I just test fitted it on one of our wheels. It fits.

This is actually an OEM Land Cruiser TRD Pro Cap:

    Black w/Bronze "Toyota" Lettering #PT280-60200-05

    FSW-F268-OEM-Bronze-Cap.jpg FSW-F268-OEM-Bronze-Cap-Fits.jpg

Heres a little video I made for the test fit:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/13Mum5QANyNy8vW8xESYVY3wliTg5uqZB/view?usp=sharing

Subsequently, these will also do the job:

    Red Ring w/Red "TRD" #PT280-34190-02

I just want to report in that Dustin has been taking great care of me as well. I chose to have my wheels sent back to them and got a UPS label that same second. Dropped them off the other day and already have a new shipment coming my way with the wheels machined to fit.

Great experience overall for me. I'll report back when I have them on the truck...truck should be here any day lol
