Kinda both! So I'm scheduled Monday, Wednesday and Friday to go to Buffalo at 11pm. If my load is not ready (which it rarely is) I get paid for the time I go in until I get dispatched.
From there I have to rest for a minimum of 10 hours law so they put me up in a hotel room. The problem is they don't always get me out in 10 hours. I go back on the clock if they keep making me wait.
So like I said the schedule varies quite a bit even if they get everything done on time. My "normal" sleep schedule moves around 5-6 hours everyday!

The DOT was snagging everyone on 146 the other day. One guy's truck must have failed something during inspection. He was still sitting there 2 hours later with his hood open.

That sucks. If they look hard enough they will almost always find something!

They're cracking down on people using off-road diesel. I got pulled on Tuesday on 290. Only thing he really checked was my fuel tank. If it's the right color your on your way otherwise you need a tow.

This past week was a DOT inspection week. They were mostly focusing on everything to do with wheels (but they can check for anything). Are the wheels cracked, rusted out, bent, leaking valve stems, bad lug nuts, etc. It was very much know to us as the DOT notified everyone in the trucking industry.

Nice, I had all new rubber! Truck is new to us and probably the best to get pulled.

I can finally run without gauze on my hands. Nice layer of skin removed from two fingers though.

Little shy of an acre & at war with it forever. The sprays will temporarily cripple it but it always returns. To be expected I guess since if they really worked the manufacturers' business models would die along with the noxious weeds.

Attached garage with laundry room right off it. Kick off lawn footwear in garage then strip & throw gloves & all duds into washing machine. Cool or lukewarm shower as hot water can exacerbate it. Still impossible to avoid entirely as despite high socks I pretty much always have a little rash on the lower legs. I've got it on the back of hands, but never on the palms or inside of fingers. That's a bitch. That area supposedly has more resistant skin. Good that it's healing fairly quickly.
