The important question is did they keep the drum brakes?

Honestly I'm kinda hyped, and I'm not wild about the new Tundra and haven't really been hyped for a new vehicle release in awhile. Fingers crossed they keep the manual transmission as an option:fingerscrossed:

It does, but it could be camo stuff. My biggest worry is that it might look like a smaller Tundra.

    Send it! Hahaha!

    :mudding:

As noted, disk though. I believe that was known for a while now.

That is not what @carmarker1 is saying. The 2.4T doesn't mate with any MTs in the stable. I do think the 3rd Gen is the swan song?

No 3.5? Are there automatics already-developed for the 2.4T? I haven't paid attention..

Yeah, if it looked chonky like the Tundra I think it'd be too bad. They can tune it towards the new Sequioa, which is gorgeous imo

There is a great post about it somewhere. Of course, you can adapt just about any engine to any transmission, but it seem to fit the situation unfortunately.

Yeah. The new Sequoia looks great. Hopefully the Taco takes some cues from that.

I did and I know that, just :stirthepot:.

This is probably the end of the line for the manuals however. :pout:
I have mine, hopefully it will carry me to the end.

As an old school 4 wheeler, coils suck. Fine for a mall crawler.

    A few.
Seeing that Toyota is offering a manual on the new Supra for 2023 makes me have some hope a manual Tacoma is possible. Its only gonna be on the 6 cylinder model but it shows Toyota is aware of what some people want.

There was significant fit throwing and the 400z happening. That is not the cae with just 5% of us buying them.

I'm not the biggest fan of three link rears, but the 4Runner feels pretty good.

Why does the new Tacoma get leaked but not the new 4Runner? I know the Tacoma gets more attention, and is testing one the same as testing the other?

Will the 4Runner debut in 2024, since Toyota announced the '23 will soldier on as a 5th gen, and the Sequoia was slated as a '23. Toyota wasn't going to introduce two BOF SUVs, for the NA market in the same year.

I've been waiting years for them to finally do it, though I am sure it still won't ride nearly as good as a full size Ram.
