Does Coastal Offroad have any presence here?

Have had a few friendly exchanges via email however they're practically 1 liners, leaving multiple emails to be sent back and forth.

I just want to pay for it already so I can get it quicker, and even though I've given the go-ahead, I still haven't received my paypal invoice.

    No, no active presence anyways.
Personally I've never had any issues with payment and have received my product within the week so I am not sure what the problem is though I don't use paypal.

It's not so much about an issue with payment, let me backtrack.

They sell a bumper, with part number and everything, that is not listed on their site.

In order for me to buy it, they need to send me a paypal invoice.

I've pretty much stated I wanted to buy it since over a week ago only to wait 6-7 days for a reply. Then got a follow-up email asking about cut-outs (2-3 days later), only to answer and give the go ahead again.

Just want to see that invoice already so I can pay it and get my order in.

I think it may be called out a few times in this thread if you read back through some of the posts but Coastal takes a while to respond to requests and always has. I emailed requesting info on their skid plate install and it took a couple days for responses. They don't have a person/team dedicated to support, its just the guys running the company so you have to realize its going to take a while especially if they are busy. I have always had great experience working with them but you have to go in knowing it may take a couple days to get a response, especially if you are doing a custom order that isnt as simple as "add to cart, check out, pay". When I bought my skids it took about 3-4 days before I heard anything from them and I got worried something didn't go through.

You try calling them? I've messaged with them a bunch and they are usually pretty busy, so they get communication in when they can.

:notsure: Brandon emailed me the instructions for my bumper 30 minutes after I asked for them, at 3am CST.

I've changed direction and have a Coastal Offroad dual swingout carroer kit for sale. I built my high clearance rear bumper and like it clean without the swingouts. I have the whole kit and am in the Portland, OR area. Hoping to get what I paid for it and you save on shipping. Call it $950.

Forgot I was nearly the last poster.

The rep I was initially emailing apologized for not getting back to me, and someone else followed up with me.

Shipping was done quickly, and I was given the original pricing quoted since my inquiry had gone a few weeks back. I say this because their prices had gone up when I finally placed my order, but they made good on their old quote.

Laser cut pieces made welding this a breeze.

Love em they went together super easy have held up to some pretty good rock smashes specifically this past Monday when I went wheeling. The only issue I have had so far is the rear section has slid upwards because the mounting holes are oblong so you can adjust the height at install. So naturally when you drop the full weight of the truck on them they self adjust to all the way up. So now my exhaust that goes under the transfer case from the driver side rattles on it ever so slightly at a specific RPM. Annoying noise but easy fix, loosen the bolts and slide it back down and re tighten the bolts. I would recommend them to anyone with basic welding skills wanting full skids at half the price. The nice thing is since its all weld together you can make any modifications you see necessary while you are building them (chopping, adjusting, bracing) but straight from coastal they are great!

    Can't wait to start!
I'm pretty happy with mine too, though after one very rough run on rocks it did bend a few places so I added extra bracing. Also as @AStinkyBumb stated it does tend to slide up the oblong holes. My solution was to figure out what height I wanted then weld 2 thick washers there.

This evening I was just looking under my truck to figure out where I could weld on a couple of legs to go out to the frame rails as well as close up those holes a bit. That's the great thing about welding these things myself I don't feel bad grinding off paint and modifying them a bit, also having some extra scrap steal laying around makes modifying them super easy.

Well this thread is fantastic helpful beyond words, thought I'd share my experience.
I decided to give it a shot and put hours of watching YouTube how to weld videos to some use... I went with the extreme clearance front and high clearance rear kits. Both kits fit together perfectly and the instructions were well written and easy to follow. Only had one little hiccup when the new crossmember that's supplied for the front came about 3/8" too short to fit between the frame rails so I added plates on either end and it slid in nice and snug. I did modify the side wings to match the cut line of the fenders but that's it. For the finish I went with a different look...i used a flap disc and removed any rough edges and goopy welds, gave the whole thing a nice swirl look but leaving as much burn showing as possible and just hit it with a ton of clearcoat. I really like the way it turned out and especially happy to learn a new skill. Fun project and not too bad for beginners.
PS - i highly recommend a mig set up to gas rather than Flux core...i tacked with flux core and the splatter makes a mess, all other welds were done with gas and required very little grinding afterwards.
    Cheers -J.
