Yeah they are adjustable but I've never had to adjust them in the six years I've owned it. They were set correctly from the factory. Heck of a design though

I feel like a good deal on a snugtop is something you can't pass up. If it doesn't work out, you can probably sell the snugtop to get you back into a softtopper and then some. Do it!!! Good luck with the decision.

How was air flow sleeping with the tent extension? Pretty breathable? It would've been cool if the softtopper had the option of a screens when rolling up the sides/safari mode. Even when the weather is nice, it's still hot and humid in some parts of Texas. Great looking set up btw. I saved your pics as reference for how I want to do my LR taco when I get it.

Keep it simple. Throw a mosquito net over the truck and secure it with some magnets or something. The more they add to these setups, the more chances for failures and annoyances

Gonna try out this extention next week. Me and a 65lb pup in a 5' bed sucks. I was out of carpet for the platform addition I made so it gets scrap linoleum:anonymous:20220526_122434.jpg 20220526_122342.jpg

To be honest air flow sucks haha. I had the same thought as you if there was a screen that you can add on the sides of the topper for some ventilation. It just so happened to be the hottest weekend of the month and I was dying-- my lady was fine but I run hot so I had my head where the opening is on the extension. I could breath no problem but it was definitely warmer than I prefer when I sleep. Didn't even need a blanket or anything haha. Couple of my buddies had a portable standalone fan/AC for their setups which would be my next purchase if I end up camping again soon over the summer. I could make a mesh covering and run safari mode but there wouldn't be much privacy since my platform/mattress has me laying pretty much at the top of the bedsides.

And sweet! Looking forward to seeing yours when you get it and start modding! :D

Hey guys, doing the install now, can someone tell me if I’m good on placement on this part of the front of the bed, or do I want the frame resting on the part closer to the cab?image.jpg

If memory serves, you may actually want to scoot it back just a hair because the cover adds some thickness when installed and folded.

Mine also looked awkward in the back when too far forward. It didn't hang over the tailgate lip at all. End of the cap flush with the head rail per the instructions is what I changed mine to.

I got mine this morning(Sunday), I ordered less than two weeks ago so I haven't bothered checking the tracking number so that was a pleasant surprise. It looks great and was easy to install but WTF is with the "Hand made in Colorado" on their website but a big old "Made in Mexico" tag on the canopy?? Thats bullshit
