I don't envy you guys with the grass cutting situation ........ we lived back in Ohoho a few years one stint. The place would grow anything green in rapid fashion - lawn cutting required 3 times every 2 weeks. Heavy duty, high speed equipment was about the only defense. Our place was adjacent to some serious cornfields, you couldn't tell if the nightly squeeks were due to the corn growing - or the grass........

My wife kept her shooting skills up by working on an endless supply of grackles and starlings - about wore out the boy's Crossman pellet gun. Target rich environment. It wasn't the most fun place we've lived....... We were glad to go back to the high plains of Wyo.

Interesting --thanks -I learned something today. I did not realize that they offered that Kohler 20hp vs the Kawa 18. I guess it is a marketing dept. decision, but my 18 Kawa has been more than enough for me. It has plenty of power and speed if you need it. I guess it could be a "chevy vs ford" thing. Noticed the 20 Kohler is only $100 more. As for me I am happy with my 18 Kawa.

A little something every chance we get.
So the appliance guy came. Did he bring the control board I asked the to? No. So he'll be back. After a week of multiple, daily emails to nail this down, it's still not done. It wasn't 80* yet, so I got the mowing done.

Worse yet are those solid rubber caster tires. If you happen to snag a signpost, bump a retaining wall, tree, etc. at the right angle, it will flip that tire right off the rim, and you can't re-mount it. I've bought two at $50ea.:annoyed:

When they don't stock what they say they stock, make your own. I have no idea why (CRS at work again) I still had ~6' of slotted steel, but I did. And I beat and banged it into what I needed. It'll do.

On our GE microwave I had the plastic fan button break after 2 years of ownership. To fix the fan button I had to replace the entire control board assembly even though the fan button assembly is a plastic part that screws into the control board. The replacement process was easy but set me back just over $100. So now I have an extra control board if I need it. I had to give a class to the wife and son not to punch te buttons but to press them.

I believe it is personal preference too as far as the engines go. We have a Kawa engine on the Ex Mark Commercial 30 and it is a strong performing engine.

Going out to pick up my son's guitar this morning and maybe take in a few yard sales. Going out to a dock bar this afternoon for an early dinner and music.

Thanks Tom, but ours is a Whirlpool. He didn't bring what I told him to, but he did have one in the truck. THIS years version of my LAST years board...they've scheduled do overs for next Friday. Didn't bring or have it, and yet he said "it's the most common failure in their microwaves".

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Going to do some early shopping for things to cook, clean up the golf clubs and put them back in the new spot, and hopefully pool around the afternoon! Bad service all week made me hot and curmudgeonly last night, so we went out for some pub grub downtown, and I got an ice cream treat for dessert to make me happier. Now, if the Flex Seal tape over the Flex Seal paint will just hold that pool filter pinhole leak long enough to do some shopping later, I'll stay happy.

Okay... Just to let you know, for future reference. If the muscles in your hand are disappearing and your little finger is numb there's a problem. It can eventually lead to deformity and continuing loss of strength. But there is a fix if you get in to a hand specialist. It involves moving the nerve in either the elbow or the wrist, depending on where it is pinched. Outpatient, but a fairly long recovery.

Just so you know, not all ZT's come with solid rubber caster tires. In fact, I would bet most do not.

Well, it's limp patch and get the new one on the way and installed.

Ripped the Flex Seal tape, and Flex Seal liquid right off, and slapped a roofing patch on. Tomorrow, I throw an epoxy on it. Try to minimize until Thursday.
