Making progress, got the PowerTrays installed. Just need to hook up the Switch-Pros inside the truck.

Also got my chase lights installed and homemade wiring harness routed to the Powertray.

Got new tires yesterday. Sat on the thought of going to 35’s but life isn’t permitting me time to make them fit. Stuck with 285s and we’ll see what happens next go around. Loved the last set of Cooper STT Pros so got em again.

Started more work on maintaining the truck and one of the big things I wanted to do was replace the rear shocks. Granted these were on the truck for about 10 years but they were beat to all hell. The one that had no rebound was on the drivers side. The area for the clicker adjuster on the piggyback had rusted and sunken. New shocks are slightly longer as I’m sure the OG ones were not meant for 3in lift.

Took the truck out following the replacement and damn did it make a difference. Though after seeing how the old shocks were they were not doing anything.

Recently it's all been maintenance. Got the clutch replaced, OEM lasted about 99.5k miles. Decided to replace with another OEM since the previous one took the beating pretty well. Front shocks are scheduled be rebuilt in a week. Ordered spindle gussets and UCA double sheer kit from JD Fab because I need it and something is f'd with the front end. Offroad shop out here couldn't get me more caster because spindle is prob bent. Luckily got OEM from a buddy for decent price to gusset.

I'll be doing some maintenance as well. Rear diff has a small weep so I'll be replacing the gasket eventually, need to flush the cooling system and replace the thermostat because when I was towing @G.T. 's trailer my temp gauge kept climbing, and I'll be getting his lowers sometime soon, got the money set aside for them just need to get a date figured out so I'll probably get those TC cam gussets welded in as well

Oof on the leak and temp. Yea hurry up and get them lowers on. I've had the TC cam gussets and it's been great though if I could do it again I'd probably have gone with Jd Fab's LCA pivot kit from the get. More involved but looks a lot stronger and moves everything away from the firewall. Being MT I can't bash as much firewall as you auto guys without risking losing the ability to push my clutch in.

Considering what it does I don't mind the cost...Getting it installed if where I'm more worried about for price since I can't weld myself. Also I still daily the truck so I can't give it up long enough for that work to get done.

Yea just mind the pedals when installing. @G.T. and I had a good scare and laugh when he started up the truck and it straight up redlined

If I had the money I would definitely jump on the pivot kit, maybe one of these days. After the lowers I need save up for gears. I know a guy that would give you a deal on a sweet 2003 impreza wrx with only 244k miles :anonymous:

Haha, I'm in the market for a better SUV. Wife and I just had a 4th kiddo. 4Runner is ass for 2nd row passengers and even worse for anyone in the 3rd row. There is no A/C vent back there and being in Vegas it's very much needed. Once I can buy something for the wife I'll get to daily the 4Runner and just offroad the Tacoma.
