Ah. Never checked that one out when I lived in Santa Clara.

 

The Holder family has owned a number pretty good places. The Country Inn is probably the best known. There are a couple of other upscale places they had as well. Got their start where Santana Row is now.

I noticed an ABC notice for change of ownership in the window the other day. They’ve sold at least Mission City Grill and I think others. It’s a sad day as the family had been actively involved and kept the business running as much by the way they treated employees to their own willingness to do the things they expected of others. As a result, many of their employees have been with the company for a long time.

I hope the new owners carry on in the same tradition.

edit: I stopped going to bills’s a few years ago. Quality has really taken a nose dive.

 

Oh, man, the Country Inn. I haven't been there since (an hour or so) before I graduated high school.

I’d be down for a Bowman trip with you guys. My truck took a dump this past weekend. AT fluid leaked all over the underbelly. Back in the shop again for a Torque converter seals and who knows what other seals need to replace.
