Yes kept abs although I have it turned off all the time. I think wms is 71”? It’s 6” more than stock I know that much. Which pairs perfectly with a 3.5” lt kit

Pulled off for finish welding and light tabs before paint. This really makes me want to redo my bumper to be able to add a winch if mine weren’t welded on and if I didn’t have other stuff to do

Couple week update. Finished up @Sixthelement front bumper last weekend. He’ll get moved aside now for a few weeks before we get back to it and do skids and tweaks to the rear bumper.

And went to get a dent puller to start the bodywork on taco sauce. Shockingly surprised how well it pulled out. Little bit of bondo work before patching up the wrap next week.

Want to redo the whole wrap but 3m is inbetween film series. This color is sold out everywhere in the old series that I used originally, and the color hasn’t been released yet for the new series. So, full rewrap pushed off until later this summer likely. Not that I’m totally thrilled about pulling the wrap off, but the roof and hood are looking rough after over 4yrs. Right about what I was expecting honestly out of it though

Also decided to torque mark some of the important bolts up front since the rebuild

“Quick” run this past weekend with the wife because she wants to go for a ride. And shit the truck seems to be running amazing. Freshened up front end, local whoops getting deeper by the day, and me for some reason nervous about smashing these sections at 5-10moh faster than before. Someone force me to go out more and get some more footage before front bypasses show up and I have to start the tuning process all over again

18hrs on the second go with the jd fab subframe. Subframe, uca double shear, and a respring/revalve. Working my way towards Harry status and 16hrs although my arms are absolute jello now.

Only picture I took all weekend lol.

Old welding glove sleeves make great shields for the cutting/ grinding phase of the subframe. Complaints before starting everything were clearance issues with 35’s and harsh top out. Clearance issues totally solved, but I got scared on the revalve and only made minor changes. He said it still tops our real hard but we switched to 700# springs from 650 and with all the geometry changes I didn’t want to change valving too much until the ride height and alignment were dialed in. Alignment in a few days and revalve probably next weekend with some more drastic changes to rebound.

Time to bring on the haters by running 2 different brands of shocks.

Got one mount figured out and finished today. Shooting for the passenger side tomorrow, revalve coil overs on Wednesday, and ready to load up for camping thursday.

Passenger side done. Time to revalve the coil overs so these mis matched shocks become friends.

All buttoned up. And the quick initial test drive is very promising.

And that didn’t last long. On today’s episode of shit that’s fucked up ….

    5A074960-13A4-4AD0-9C77-67476C7EF434.jpg

Shackle hanger ripped out of the frame along with the frame overlay and a chunk of frame. Lots of side load stress over the last year I suppose. Passenger side is cracking in the same spots. Time to readdress the frame structure and supports

Aaaannnnd after digging in some more there’s more bad news. Whole rear half of the frame is bent starting just behind the cab. So ummmm, time to back half? Take to a frame straightener? Gonna need to do something and have a clearer mind to make decisions.

At that point? Back half, tie into cage see where it goes.

I'm thinking the back half is going to be your best bet. Trying to straighten it and strengthen it is going to be a bandaid at best. Probably more work too.

I’d say it wasn’t doing its job, but the bent frame was probably the bigger issue all along
