We have small classes, just lots of space and lots of students 15:1 student to instructor ratio so tons of 1:1 time. 255s and 210mps are good machines. We run about 60% of lab on 350mps and 360mps, bunch of dynastys for GTAW.

I am excited to fold in some everlast and peimewelders to the mix, though everlast CS has been a bust for us.

Lol. They definitely both have their place in the shop.

    To each their Own thing!

Granted Tig welding is far more prep work. Then for home hobby type welding is not all that practical for most people.

There is just something about the process that is just so pure at least to me.

One of those things I can not explain.

Maybe since this is the second Process I was taught after oxy- fuel brazing and welding I picked it up so easy.

Another thing when I learned in the mid seventies the old school welders wanted nothing to do with the fancy new Mig and Tig welding if it could not be stick welded it could not be done. Then most of the smaller shops never bought that equipment till years later.

It will always be my favorite process !

As I stated, my own experience with it is that I too find it peaceful and relaxing.

But I won't and don't do enough that I'll need to keep the welder in the shop; thinking it'll go on shelf duty and I'll put the incoming MIG welder on the cart.

I think I will pass For that price. I can build many fixtures to hold strange and odd shapes.

Then those days I think are pretty much done!

Figured I'd offer to TW folks before listing elsewhere. If you need one of these then you know it's a deal..

Lincoln D C 600 welder with LN 10 wire feeder. Power units tested and inspected by welding supply house last year (bought 4 and only ended up using 1.) These were extra units purchased for a large welding job last year that didn't pan out (they were purchased and trucked up from Texas.) Included are (6) 60 Lb. spools of new select 720 .045 welding wire (or select 80C 5/64 wire.)

$850 cash pick up in Roanoke VA only (apologies as I'm not dealing with shipping and all that comes with it.)

Ouch. Sorry to hear it. I appreciate it and hope not.. time will tell. Will probably take a bath on the box truck full of welding wire too (shait would be a fortune retail.)

Switching header from a Kawasaki to a Briggs. The Briggs is wider between the jugs. Needed to stretch the header. Glued in a filler piece.

Miller-Matic 250 running .035. Not, too shabby for a 200 amp transformer machine welding on thin wall conduit.

I still don't see a need for a TIG welder.

Small little weld repair for my sister. The factory weld on the handle had absolutely 0 penetration on this extremely thin material so it just snapped off. Not the best welds but theyre definitely gonna hold better than the factory welds.

For the jobs I do my running Gear sits as close to the floor as Possible.

Having it higher I got the gun dropping down to the floor then going back up to get to what needs welded .

Then my other feeder hangs on a Boom for working on the bench..

I can understand you have no real reason to Tig.

Just like I don`t have any reason or be willing to take the chance of being a Father for the last 25 years.

    What ever works.
