So the shock tabs i set 1.5" from the leaf mounting seats per the instructions.

Where I may have lost a little bit of clearance was with the towers, I set the front of them flush with the pocket in the bed as instructed however as far as the side to side positioning, I figured the legs that get welded to the frame are supposed to fit flush to the frame which pulled the top of one of the towers out maybe 1/4". That could be contributing BUT I just checked this AM and only one side is pulled out a little, the other side is pretty much up against the inside of the bed and it was the side that was rubbing without spacers

Memorial day is one of those odd "Holidays" where happy is kinda just not really the correct greeting but we say it for all the others so.

So the side that's kicked out away from the bed is the side that rubs then? I didn't follow the directions when it came to setting the shock tabs. I went as far outboard as we could to the side that the ABS interfered then mimiced it on the other side.

I thought my towers looked far frame the frame too, but I had the archive one that bolted through the bed so I knew it couldn’t be off much. I had to use 2” spacers but had less offset wheels and I’d still see rub marks on one shock body. I had a much thinner leaf pack, too so a hair more up travel which might have made it worse. Lower mounts were at 1.5” from the spring perch too. You’ve probably noticed this but your ubolts are ripping up your bump and maybe hitting the pad.

No thats the side where the tower is flush to the inner bedside. Gotcha gotcha. Yeah this was my first time installing a set and did them by myself so really didn't know what I was doing or have any previous experience to base the install off of.

Yeah, these are bolted through the bed as well. Do you remember what offset the wheels were? Cool cool sounds like I'm not too far off.

Yeah, the bumps ripped from when I had my last leaf pack and they were overloaded and the frame was essentially resting on the bumps... I wasn't sure if I was going to throw some 1" blocks when i was testing everything and snapped the pic but I've since trimmed the u bolts down haha thanks for bringing it to my attention though, you never know

Did some digging through my pictures and they were 4.50” backspacing 8.5” wide. I don’t see where I bought the 2” spacers until much later so I’m thinking I used 1.25” or this set of 1.5” I can’t seem to find where they came from haha

Huh even more interesting. Yeah, there is always some custom stuff you can do with parts like this that aren't in the instructions.

For sure...Wish I woulda spoke to someone who had installed a set or two before I installed but all things considered it came out well. Seems to ride great so far but its hard to say exactly what contributed being that I changed so much at once
