So I've been really hitting the research on the transfer case I have here. It's a VF2A out of a 95 Tacoma. J Shift of course. While digging up info, I came across a post in the 2nd Gen section where they were talking about swapping in a VF2A out of a 2007 FJ Cruiser. Looks like the 07-14 FJ utilized tthe VF2A transfer case in some configurations. From the pics I've seen they look identical (not just external but internal as well).
    This is interesting. :pccoffee:

    VF2A
    - Can be identified by the 5 bolt rear cover, chain driven
VF2A is the standard J-Shift Tcase used multiple years and in more than just the tacoma. At least from what I've been reading.

Attched is factory data on VF2A including the full exploded view and removal/teardown. Seems to be the same. Verified the tcase I have via partsouq using the VIN it came out of, 95 Tacoma VZN170L-CRPDKAB RZN161,171,VZN160,170

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Does a failing power steering rack have places where steering is stiff and other places where the steering feels normal? I have a 2-year-old rack with places where steering is stiff and other times it is normal. All new OEM pump, hoses, and reservoir have been installed. I've never experienced a steering rack with "stiff spots". Usually, leaks indicate a worn rack. But no leaks.

I might try to implement this photo into our teeth brushing routine since she's so opposed to it

For a not very attractive frail bearded dude I sure have a lot of stalkers. Girl I knew in high school learned I was hanging out with her ex. My phone was blowing up last night and this morning.

Walked into HEB (Texas supermarket) this morning and a kid with a mental illness from my college track team was stalking me through the store pretending to be on the phone. Two weeks ago I was in there and he yelled at me while he was working the self checkout area. I could just report him to a manager if it continues I guess.

I guess I meant FJ j-shift case into a 1st gen. I'm assuming the input shaft wouldn't match up.
