So sorry to hear. The hospice staff were the most compassionate and supportive people my family dealt with with my father. I hope you have the same experience.

    @RustyGreen
We took a look under the hood. Might try to see if it'll run. Not postive what size this motor is...thinking 318 or 360 cu in; I'm leaning towards 318. :notsure:

It is an LA series small block, either 318 or 360.
That brings back some memories, I remember laying over the fender/engine to tighten the distributor hold down bolt -- cursing all the way. The Chrysler big block engines had the distributor in the front (and Ford, Buick,IH & AMC too).

Looks like that truck has locking hubs too, hopefully it has a part time transfer case. Many of the 1/2 ton Dodges from 74-79 came with a New Process 203 full time transfer case, they were quite tough. The problem (as always) was the driver -- people didn't understand the full time transfer case and did amazingly stupid things to them.

@Fargo Taco , sorry to hear the news of your mom.

Hi crew. Hope those that have a day off enjoy it. Those who don't, appreciate your work.
Having Monday off not much different for me but nice the whole family is home.
I've been up/awake for awhile, cleaned the AC condenser or outside portion of that thing.
Started a load of laundry...but forgot to put clothes in there to early for multi-tasking :anonymous:
Watched a video on how to take apart a Dyson DC39
Canister vacuum. My Mother-In-Law said the vacuum repair shop couldn't fix it for her. I suspect he just didn't want to mess with it. Guess it's her favorite vacuum of all time, so be nice if it's just the switch bad.

I most times start the fill on the hot setting because the warm setting isn't that hot, but then switch to warm, then add detergent and clothes.
    I don't even recall what distracted me:facepalm:

Ok fixers and troubleshooter of things electrical...
I've got this vacuum dissected down to the inner guts...the switch seems to be working, says my ohm meter. I plugged it in the wall and checked for voltage at the switch and nothing:confused:
So bad cord, or cord connection
The cord is on a spring loaded rewind thing and it would take further dissection to see where that hooks up. I'm a little at a loss what to do now.

Is the recoil in between the plug and the switch? Ohm wires from the switch to the plug. Reel it in and out to see if you lose or maintain continuity.

It most likely in the cord recoil. I know don't want to hear it, but I bet that needs to come apart.

    Which model is this?

    Continuity check the cord set.
Many times with corded devices the wires will be damaged right at the molded plug.
Wiggle and pull along with a good visual, if the cord feels wimpy right at the plug probably the wire is broken.

Suspect #2 would be where the cord attached to the reel, whatever kind of connection they have to allow it to spin.
