    Just getting started.
    I want to get the SS3 Pros to get that nice 4K output, but on the order page what options do I select? Everyone talks about "selective yellow" does that mean the Yellow Fog with Amber Backlight? Or the Yellow fog without the amber backlight?

    Selective yellow just refers to the color of yellow that the lights are. DD only offers 2 color options 6k white or 3k selective yellow. Other manufacturers offer "amber" or "orange" or whatever you want to call it.

    You can buy the white SS3 Pro's and replace the lenses with yellow ones for a 4k white color hue seen here...

    The backlight just serves as a running light.

    You unfortunately have it just PERFECTLY backwards.

    Start with White Light (6000k LED):
    Swap with different pattern clear lens - Maintain the 6000k output color
    Swap in a yellow lens - Produces a "lime green" color. I can't really put a Kelvin color temp on it, but it's definitely not an ideal output. The only way to possibly get the proper output would be to use the darker yellow lens that DD puts on the Max version of the lights. They don't even list it, but they may sell you them. You'll be dealing with reduced output though.

    Start with Yellow Light (4000k LED):
    Swap with a clear lens - Produces a 4000k output color. I call it a "buttery" white and I really like the color.
    Swap in a different yellow lens - Maintains the 3000k color temperature

    I don't have any photos on hand of that pattern, but if all you have is the fog lights this is a good all-around pattern to support your headlights when offroad.
