now youre saying you can only use a propane grill on the first floor in massachusetts?
so if you lived on the second floor in an apartment you couldn't use a grill?

Yes because so many idiots don’t know how to use a stove they put them in the grass or who knows what and start fires they didn’t bring water or shovel or common sense. Sad really.. :goingcrazy:

wow yea that makes sense but sucks it has to be implemented/enforced.

i thought the no burning solids in colorado was bad. they announced we cant burn solids in colorado springs either, which means i cant use my pellet grill :/

but i just got one of those igniks (idk it was a gift i haven't gotten yet) that burns propane so i can have some sort of camp fire this summer. hope i can use it

And lets face it, there are a lot of bad campers. They mainly show up in the traditional campsites and not off the beaten path, but they are everywhere. Usually accompanied by a lot of lights, a lot of loudness, and a lot of lack of consideration for neighboring campers.

Anyone know what is involved in getting a permit for having a propane fire in areas that require it?

EDIT: I looked up the permitting process. It is good for a year and is free. Isn't an open permit for any type of fire, you still need to follow current restrictions. Mainly use of a designated fire ring or your own portable fire pit IF wood fires are allowed.

Propane stove and propane firepits allowed.

For California the permit process is free and easy. Find your closest National park visitor center and get the required fire safety briefing from a ranger, sign the your copy of the permit and retain it for the 1 year it is valid for.
    OR
Go on line, watch the required video on fire safety and print out your copy of the training cert and retain for the 1 year.

Democrat Point with a fishing permit. you can be there for 48 hours, no tents on the sand. You have to get the permit in winter/early spring.

Probably has a bit to do with tracking 'who' was in the area when someone started a fire that burns 1 million acres, destroys
tens of thousands of homes, and kills hundreds of people. It's dry as a bone out west and it ain't getting any better.

If I had my way about it, they'd all be 'snuffed out'... at least until the moisture level got back to normal, if it ever does.

I got no use for camp fires.

It did awesome. I spent about 3 1/2 hours off roading and had a blast. It was so much fun. It took a full year to get once I put my down payment but totally worth it. I've had it now for 4 months and have 500 miles on it. It's nice taking it to the grocery store or around town, especially getting 110 mpg.

Always wanted to put fat money into an XT250. Closest to a trials bike I’ve ridden. Just underpowered, outdated, and cheap ha.

I found an that a 5 lb tank is only good for about 2 nights. They really use the fuel. Just a bit of advice. They are awesome and handy.
