Yep that is an option at the HIGH input to the PWM. Use a splitter on HIGH and break it off into a PWM feed and then 2 long WP extensions directly to the puddle lights.

I don't see the utility in diodes here; seems like a waste of energy and is why I never built them in. Backfeeding would only be an issue if there were a bridge somewhere -- and by the design of the harness you would see it immediately upon plugging the harness in (i.e. it wouldn't be caused by the lights themselves). Also those using diodes should be sure to invert them on the ground wires.

The only reason I was considering to add them was due to the guy's main ECU that blew a hole in it when he installed puddle pods a few weeks ago or so. I wasn't sure if he had a harness issue or a light issue, as he said his harness was checked or something. So it gave me a bit of concern which is why I wanted to put diodes on the wires just to isolate them. If he actually did have a harness issue then yes definitely no point in diodes on the lights as the issue then would be related to a bad harness.

I have the footwell kit and the harness from it was great so I'm probably good to go to hook the puddles up as soon as I receive the splitter. If you think there's no risk of the lights causing that problem, then I won't waste the energy.

This is the thread I'm referring to: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/meso-puddle-light-install-gremlins.765363/

I still feel like it's a harness issue, but there was never a real determination made and posted.

So what the difference between that and this? Don’t they both allow you to use all 3 of the lights v5, pods and footwell?

Only the JST splitter I designed will allow you to use all 3. Caribe is illustrating that a 3-way WP splitter would allow you to use the puddle pods and footwell lights only using WP connectors (no JSTs) which is lighter weight for those only using those 2 accessories. You wouldn’t need to open your a pillar again going that route, in theory. Some know-how is required.

Just installed the aqua lights and look fantastic! Very easy install both in the A pillar and under the dash.

As said before me, they are dim when the parking lights are on. Read that to mean dim only if they aren’t being commanded to high mode by something else (door open, etc). There is no off for these except when the vehicle is parked or during the day when headlights are not on.

If you’re anything like me you might be a bit worried they’ll be too bright, don’t be. They are extremely dim on the default setting. I did adjust them higher to see and I thought anything higher than they come was too much. The setting they come as is perfect, they are exactly what an accent light should be. I really like this kit after a few days of it.

I'm assuming we need 2 of these (1 for each side) if running Meso puddle pods and VLEDS footwell lights?

Should only need one AFAIK, and you need to be using the VLEDS a-pillar T-harness. You would plug the Meso splitter into one side of the VLEDS splitter. The VLEDS footwell stuff plugs into the other side of the VLEDS splitter. The VLEDS splitter plugs into the VLEDS a-pillar harness. The Meso puddle a-pillar harness has the wrong pin quantity in its connector so you can’t use the Meso harness for anything but puddle pods. I had already ordered the puddle pods when I found the footwell kit so it made sense to go ahead and do those too for mine. I didn’t know to order the harness though as I thought it came included (it used to be). No big deal though, $5 and ships fast.

Finally added my rear footwell kit. I was procrastinating because I thought it would be difficult, but I think they were easier than the fronts. I used the 8ft extension to run from the front to the rear, then used the 4ft to cross over to rear driver side. I did not use the second 8ft that was included in the kit, however I do love the fact it was prepackaged with more than enough extensions for us!

I saw another person ask this, but didn’t see an answer.
I’m sitting in my truck, with it off and the footwells stay on.
I followed the install instructions, like disconnecting the negative terminal.
Any thoughts? Maybe I connected the high and low backwards? Could that cause this? Or having the key fob in range?
The MESO puddles that I installed at the same time work right and turn off after doors are closed.
