Read something online about the peppermint being overwhelming for them so they avoid areas with the smell. Seems to work. Downside is Chebby smells like a candy cane factory now

Good afternoon everyone. Back to work after 10 days off. Fun, fun, fun. I asked the boss this morning if her had heard anything about when my actual "last day" will be but he hasn't heard anything yet. I guess i just keep showing up until they tell me not to. :notsure:

From the web: The Golden Mantle is a type of ground squirrel found in mountainous regions of the West. Like the chipmunk, it has stripes on its back, but it has no facial stripes and is generally larger than the chipmunk (a large chipmunk is about the size of a small Golden Mantle)..

Around here we have a problem with groundhogs eating the wiring casings on the engine harnesses. They crawl up from the bottom. At our Honda dealer I personally chased several out of cars sitting in our lot. We had one that we tried trapping several times but never had any luck with that. We would see him walk under a car and disappear. Open the hood...there he is!

Have the best day you can!

They use soy in the wire casing.

I've heard that mice get into cars. @Tacoma Mike never had issues with that, I bet

Still waiting for the goodyear tires I ordered in November. Now I have a death wobble at 50mph. Was going to swap the 2 new tires I found online to the front, but now the goodyears won't be available until next year.

    So looking at KM3s

I used to think they were cute too.
Then they started chewing on my cars and i decided theyre not cute

elf suit is long since retired

I'm a retired elf. True story.
When I lived in AK my town didn't have a mall or dept store so Santa only came to town for one day. All day hoisting kids up onto his lap. Pointy toed shoes with bells and all.
When I moved back to MT I retired the elf gig. My friends and I always told their little boys that I was an elf and that I knew Santa personally. Then about 10 years ago I worked with a guy that did the Santa thing. He's perfect for it, about 5 foot, real white beard, kinda chubby. One day he had a Santa gig right after work so he changed at the office. I took a selfie with him and texted it to my friend with "guess who stopped by today asking about the boys". I got a call from them that night. They were all panicked that I told Santa something bad. on the plus side they behaved themselves like little angels from then on!

Just hoping I don't come across a bear who has a thing for York peppermint patties or something....could get ugly!

I didn't mind the Santa gig. It was fun. Always had one or two kids who were too scared to even go talk to him. So I asked them to tell me what they wanted and I'd pass it along, whisper it into Santa's ear and then he'd yell something crazy like "she wants a can of spam and a snow shovel? Got it!" Then the kid would come running up, no longer afraid of him, and start jabbering away about what they wanted just to make sure they didn't end up with a can of spam.

Not really. I just like Christmas. It lost a bit of its fun as I grew up so being an elf was a way to replace that fun factor.

    Manipulating the tiny humans... :drevil:
