When you have enough time to think to yourself "why haven't I landed yet?", you're gonna have a bad time.

    not enough.
have you checked the isntallation on the dropper post itself? maybe the cable and/or housing are not seated correctly causing some inconsistencies here.

I be in the shower feeling all those forbidden areas, closest I've gotten is one on the cheek thank goodness.

I really liked that step up to the left, it was relatively low consequences. The step up going to the shuttle is fun too and is probably the safest there to learn on. We session it a fair amount. Air Supply is without a doubt the most dangerous though, holy heck you're going fast.

That's how air supply is you're going soooo fast down that jump line. I have to say those guys building trails and jumps know how to build trails and jumps.
Jarrod's Place super fun, and there's something for every skill level is what makes it great. However, it being 10 miles from any cell service sucks.

I saw a few of you asking about fishing on this stream by the Bad Apple TH. Here's the deal: Imagine yourself standing exactly where this photo was taken...you can fish to the right of the bridge (east-ish) up to the big chainlink fence (you can see it upstream 500 yards or so). You CANNOT fish to the left of the bridge.

How do I know this, you ask? I saw a guy fishing there on Friday and I asked him about it. He was a Summit County water department employee (they also own the property, or an easement through the property). He said that he had been fishing there for about 15 years. That's all I know. Good luck out there!

Man, I'm combing through every land owner database I can find to back that up, and that specific area is a black hole of "no info"

Should've gone south! We rode Red Canyon (near Bryce) and it was beautiful and not crowded at all. We even went in to Bryce and it wasn't bad.

Thunder Mountain may be one of the most scenic rides I've ever done...

I took my daughter on the Cassidy trail, which was a similarly beautiful blue in the area:
    NrLnWaAr6UL9oX8LAhA6PjH89hUSw8pshCW4mbTF_958fc79038368a31938af74a34bac990fabe8a77.jpg

Then my wife and I shuttled Spinal Tap in Richfield on our way back north. I think that's one of the best trails in the state! It's short but every bit as good as Porcupine Rim or Portal or Grafton Mesa or Flying Monkey or any other highly technical trail I've ridden around here. There are some real serious features gaps and drops, most are optional, with a few mandatory rock rolls. It still flows though, despite the chunky/desert nature of the trail.

I have found my OneUp 170 V1 to be pretty inconsistent. If I'm good about adding some slick honey inside the collar then it works well, but I have to do this every 5-10 rides (depending on conditions). I've sent OneUp a message about it and they pretty much just told me to take it apart and add slick honey or buy the V2...

After talking to my LBS today, there is a fix involving the plastic spacer right below the dust wiper in the collar. Apparently it expands with use which causes it to stick. Basically pull the plastic spacer, sand it down, add ample grease and that should fix the issue. Gonna try that out first. If I can’t figure it out, they’re gonna try and fix it. If they can’t we’re going to warranty it. Install is correct.

I have the V2 and it’s still inconsistent. LBS said the same thing about the grease. Basically it’s not greased enough from the factory. The plastic spacer in the collar seems to be an issue as well. I’m going to try the fix the LBS recommended and if it doesn’t fix it I’m getting something different. Most frustrating dropper I’ve ever owned.

How are the ‘trail’ sections there? As in non-jump lines. Could be a dumb question but jump lines aren’t the tickle to my pickle. Rather not make the trek if that’s all there is to offer.

The few videos I’ve watched of the place looked to have a nice mix of wooded single track style as well as open bermy jump lines. Hopefully thats the case in reality vs just some video editing.

You were right! The right crank got loose. Heard some squeaking while riding with the wifey yesterday for a Memorial Day cruise ride along the beach. Checked things out during a stop and found the right crank had some play. Went to the Manhattan Beach REI and they were able to tighten it up. However, they said to monitor it. Since I pedaled on it while it was loose, it may have damaged something inside. If it gets loose again, they said the crank set may need to be replaced.o_O I need to get the appropriate tools to torque these bolts to spec like you said.

There’s a lot of single track, but the shuttle doesn’t go all the way up there. It’s not a long climb, but it is steep. I think there’s 4 single track trails at the top of the mountain and 2-3 at the bottom drop.

The facility is super nice as far as bathrooms and show room goes.

I joined the 1 Up bike rack club.
I took a different approach and went with the flush mount roof rack version which I then mounted to the bed rack.

My first impressions are great! It’ll be so much nicer not having to remove the he from wheel and not worry about fitment with different wheelbases.

Yeah, the V1s had the bushing issue. They have a replacement part, which solved the problem for me. Replaced the bushing, added Push lube (like slick honey), bumped air pressure to 275, and all has been well since. I just wipe it down, like all stanchions, after each ride.

Should only be a V1 issue. On the V2, try the following: check that you have the ferrule holder in the dropper actuator, check for binds in the cable and housing, add friction paste to the dropper body and torque to no more than 5 lbs/in, check air pressure is up to 275-300 lbs. That's solved all issues I've ever had with sticking, otherwise it may be an issue with the cartridge, which oneup would warranty and replace.

A mini torque wrench is a must for every MTB owner. Bolts go out of spec constantly, especially without loctite.
Honestly, I always check over anyone else's work. Even my trusted LBS have messed up on some basic shit.

14 weeks after Achilles reconstruction I decided to ride my bike.

6 months exactly off the bike in total.

Super hot, jungle humidity. Not a fun way to jump back into things.

Didn’t feel anything nice, couldn’t stand on the pedals at all. Taint is murdered. Going to be a while before I get back to my glory days.
