6.2L was the only gasser option that year. Now they have a 6.2 and a 7.3 gas option. The 5.0 is the V8 option for the 150. My past 6.2’s would get 14-16 unloaded.
Now, I do a lot of slow speed, local driving so 16-17. On the highway, 19-21 unless I hit regen, then it plummets for 20 miles or so (damn EPA hippies).

Leave. Leave now and make twice as much with half the commute.

This, there are too many people looking for good employees these days to put up with that

Nepotism is one way. There are a million others. Ask politely and see what you get for an answer. Don’t burn any bridges….yet.

Giving some thought to options, though it's going to take a family meeting first..depending on my wife's career, let's just say.

My commute is down the stairs to the living room, or if I doze watching TV all I gotta do is sit up and reach for the laptop haha

Anyone know if the Gillette Stadium cruise nights are going on this year?

I didn't think that sounded right. I like this one more than the 2003 he used to have. Good ride and decent power. Huge difference from the 2003 he had.

Fair enough. Plenty of other work remote gigs too :D

Yeah, job changes can be tough. Very least go interview and see what's what. I'm going to start exploring every year even if I don't take it. Gotta keep an eye on what's out there.

I hit 87 a few weeks ago. Ten miles after the idiot light popped on (I had basically planned it that way).

Not happy. Fortunately I have a short or cycling commute. Even at the old job I was doing about 150 a month. 6 miles each way. New job is 1.5 and I've ridden most of the days and am all set to ride pretty much through any weather. I'll have my limits but :notsure: I'm not fragile.

Got no advice for you tbh, but totally understandable feelings. Maybe just followup with that manager and mention how you enjoyed the shadowing and the interview. Otherwise, movement to another employer could always be an option

I still had about 6 gallons left. I think the only time I let it get lower than that was for the fuel pump recall. I thought about biking to work, but at 4am, I'll probably get run over.

Yeah come winter we'll have to see what timing has to say about it.

It's 1.5 miles and pretty easy roads so, I'm not super concerned usually.

I was out in California in February visiting my nephew , took his trd sport and filled it up for him , when I saw $75.00 I couldn’t believe it , that was the most I’ve ever spent to fill a Tacoma until last week when I spent just over $81.00 to fill mine over at Cumbys in Brockton. ( he must be paying close to $130 to fill it out there now ).. ridiculous !4C103AEC-2C84-423F-A01E-2B3881E2E55C.jpg

Wow... I can't bring myself to 'like' that post. Absolutely nuts, goods pricing is going to absolutely skyrocket (or keep skyrocketing).

I was out there in March 2021, when gas was 2.50 ish here, and it was like 5$+ in LA, I think I had to fill up at 4.80 something. Bananas.

Don’t. Normally I would PM you but I will keep it open for all to see:

I have been, I went last year in the middle of the summer. When I went, the roads were “open”, it was private property but one of those - meh - style private properties.

I’m not sure which came first, my memory is a little bit hazy, but (1) the land owners started to get a bit more strict about no trespassing, and would turn people away, they set up cameras, and WOULD follow through with trespassing charges if need be. And (2) someone then set fire to one of the buildings. After that, gates and law enforcement were up there.

There’s no access, not even walking, anymore, without risk of criminal charges.

Now - Could I be wrong, and there’s a route up there, and you can make it up and down without being arrested or charged? Sure, there’s a chance. I could be completely wrong. But after all the facebook and group posts about it last year, it’s not something I will be doing, that’s for damn sure.
