Well Hell, back in the day we had milk delivered in glass bottles and you would leave the empty ones for the milkman to exchange with the cash / change in an envelope laying on top.

The TV repair man would come to the house and replace clear glass tubes in the black & white TV with a record player on one end.

Never locked our cars just laid the car keys under the floor mats in the car in the car port.

Later we got mini bikes with no suspension & Briggs & Stratton hand pull starting. We would ride up to the gas station and empty out the hoses to fill up the gas tanks. I remember one time the gas station attendant walked out and said let’s get the good stuff guys then filled up both of our gas tanks with premium as we where both looking at each other knowing we didn’t have any money. He filled both for 11 cents we told him sir we don’t have any money and he said have fun kids it’s on me.

Later in life going out to go dancing in my 100% polyester hip hugger big bell bottom “Angel Flights” with almost no pockets. Then topping off the gas tank for $5 and not wanting change, pouring I don’t know how much on the ground to get the tank as full as possible while using the clear plastic gloves the gas station provided for people who didn’t want to smell like gas.

Going to McDonald’s getting a cheeseburger for 29 cents after I got my drivers license. McDonald’s also had little round gold ashtrays that held 3 cigarettes.

And with All Do Respect @SRH you’er not even old but post great things that do bring back good memories.

Not me... That looks like COLD water. We just had WATER. But we did have a Pepsi machine. Pepsi in a returnable heavy glass bottle cost 5 cents. I remember all the parents being outraged when they raised the price... to 6 cents. Twenty percent increase! But what else could they do I guess.. :annoyed:
Kids in my class figured out what happens when you drop a few M&M's in a bottle of Pepsi . . .
