I would like the thank Justin and John for the professional and prompt service provided on the OTT tune.
I purchased a 22 Pro last month and the first thing I did was order a VFTUNER and then the OTT tune. These guys are great to work with and offer a quality product.
I flashed the medium-spicy throttle tune and could definitely feel a difference in throttle response, and low/midrange torque. Truck drives and shifts much better now! It feels lighter and a bit more nimble. These trucks should come from the factory this way!
I read earlier in this thread that “extra” spicy could be an option if requested? If so, I’m in!

Who can help me tune my 08 in Washington?

 

What part of Washington? I cover up there every month and @PNWTacoma is up there every few weeks. Please let us know how we can assist you.

 

I'm in Kirkland. Also just trying to find out what tune would be the best for me. I have a 6 speed as well

 

Paul will be in Bellevue I believe this coming weekend I think. I recommend the OTTune using the HPTune software for the 4.0L for the gains in throttle response, power throughout the entire power band, and a 50% reduction in rev hang really makes a huge difference. @JustDSM and @Boltripper have done a phenomenal job.

 

We can tailor the rev-hang reduction to your liking. However my testing over the last 4 years has shown the vast majority of people like a partial reduction over a full "rev-hang delete". The truck can be a little abrupt in stop-n-go or in parking lots with a full delete. But whatever you need/want we can accommodate.

What are the specs on your truck? An what tip in did you use?

 

I'm not aware of anyone located in New Mexico, but @TacoNesian and I will make it down to ABQ or Santa Fe every few months. Or, if you feel like exploring some new trails and taking a road trip, I'm based out of Aspen, CO; and @MGMSangTaco is in Denver, CO.

We've been a little quiet lately, for good reason.

We've been trying to beat the heat and keep our development rolling and making progress with new and exciting offerings to ensure the Toyota enthusiasts have proven performance options available. Case in point, we just spent 11 hours on the dyno recently validating and proofing 3rd Gen Tacoma and 5.7L Tundra calibrations. Three different vehicles on the dyno, each tested to ensure our offerings perform as designed.

We've got the final touches made for the 3rd Gen 3.5L Tacoma. We feel that this latest revision will offer the broadest powerband possible for the 3.5L. The latest testing has brought out everything that is possible from this engine in a "stock" configuration. We left nothing on the table. No stone unturned.

This is a completely new calibration, built entirely inhouse.

• New throttle control settings for a much smoother tip in without sacrificing the ramp in you come to expect from OTT
  
  
• Improved cruise control, both in adaptive and non-radar
  
  
• Targeted fueling changes that are showing improvements over other competitors modified calibrations and OTT 7.0

The OTT Torque Tune is the closest to an OEM calibration as you can achieve. We started from scratch using data driven and tested methods to bring you a calibration that is 2nd to none.

With this approach we've taken the part throttle low end/midrange torque that has set our tune apart from the competition a notch further. We'll let the dyno speak to what we were able to accomplish with the WOT power. We've already posted our results from the 7.0 Testing we did in late January this year, but went back to finalize our tune and ensure it was giving our clients everything this motor can offer.

*The following tests were performed with our 87 Octane (learning) tune run on 92 Octane fuel. Stock Tune run on 92 Octane fuel.*

While peak figures are often the measuring stick everyone uses to compare how great something is vs something else. We prefer to look at things slightly different. The average power and torque a vehicle makes over the entire RPM operating range will be a much better "gauge" to the observed effect the changes have on the vehicle. Here's how we fare:

The Tundra development is even more impressive!

As part of our 11 hour marathon on the dyno, we were able to complete development of the OTT tune for the Tundra. We started with a very clean 2019 Tundra that was 100% virgin with the exception of a transmission cooler as our client VERY frequently tows/hauls heavy loads. He liked what we've accomplished with the 3rd Gen and was willing to let us strap his truck down and load our tune. The truck was a pleasure to tune and we were even more pleased with the results.

We're even heavily into tuning the Supercharged Tundra trucks. Knocking out multiple Magnuson equipped trucks.

The truck was put on the dyno and tested independently, but put out a respectable 464whp without any custom tuning, just our baseline calibration. We've just scratched the surface and have much more development planned for this platform.
