It likely has the brass jet as well. The supercharger boost bypass valve adjustment is a thing that runs on a "need to adjust," "need not adjust" on every make and model out there, not just our particular MP90 setups. They are things that don't hurt to check for.

Getting back to it though, some of the mods on page 1 are specific to our model roots blower, some are general which affect various makes and models which are boosted.

Factoring in a drivetrain loss of 18.5% (which seems to be about the norm for these trucks) that puts the crank HP at roughly around 504-505 HP. Wow!

EDIT: Oops. I just saw this was a Tundra. If I remember right though, wasn't 504-505 HP Magnusons advertised HP?! Lol.

Yes, but this truck made ~380 on the tune they supplied.

Magnuson only says 505/550 to the CRANK, but ya know not in bold or anything. They only advertise the crank numbers not to the wheel

I lied guys. Just got the run files in.. We did better than I was told :)

    Red: Stock Mag Tune
    Blue: OTT S/C Mag Tune

OTT SC (Mag) Tundra vs Mag Tune.jpg

As mentioned, still a little leaner than I'd like to see it.. But when you're 100's of miles away, we can only work with what we're presented.

Yuck. That's a horribly inefficient tune for sure. You got a free 46 ponies out of it. That's pretty impressive in itself!

Interesting. If that is the case, then 18.5% drivetrain losses seems to be a pretty normal Tacoma/ Tundra thing which means they are pretty inefficient at putting their power down post flywheel.

Plan on transmission and engine failure if driven hard, add another 40-50hp and could be trouble depending on how your driving it. Within 1 year customer went threw 2 transmissions and a engine, he’s on his second brand new factory Toyota transmission The power train is aready at it limit with the stock tune

How hard is he going?? I've read the limit is closer to 550-600 rwhp before forged internals and stuff need to be swapped out. Is he drag racing or something?

    Also is he lifted/larger tires?

What are the failing points in the transmission? Clutch packs? Torque converter? Gears?

Doesn't even look like the same engine from that graph. Wow.

Not sure what failed different tech did the job. But seen prolly 4 or 5 engine failures with superchargers at least from piston failure, one on family members truck. Also from what I heard tune also this way to protect the cats from overheating especially when towing gotta remember there tune comes with warranty and smog legal.

Are these failures on 3UR engines or 1GR-FE?

This sounds like he's referring to the 3UR.

Well it looks like that harrop supercharger is indeed for the dual vvti 1gr.. B22EBF8D-6EAB-4D16-A995-5D856F634680.jpg
I would say it looks like we just need the lower intake part to be machined different, but it looks like the whole pulley system would likely need to be changed. Bummer

This is TW. That wouldn't be the hardest thing that any of us have overcome.

Sounds like some internals would be a good option.

The OTT tune( @JustDSM ), I bet is on par with being as safe as the TRD flash. It is definitely better, just by looking at the graph.

Considering the improvements to be had by them over the TRD tune for the 1GR, it is easy to believe this to be the case.
