Hi Kayla. Nice of you to join to let us know. Caution, condoning his actions might also be frowned upon. Welcome to the forum and the Maryland thread :hattip:

Hahahaha “Suffolk” man that’s just trees and roads. Do people even actually live in Suffolk?! Lol! Where did you live in VB, if you don’t mind sharing?

Also, having lived down there for most of my life, moving up to NOVA was a huge change for me. The culture is a lot different, and things seem to move at a different pace. I still carry myself in the same way I did when I lived back home, and I do miss it, quite bad to be honest. I only moved up here because I met my wife, and, as we’ve expanded our family, I believe it will give us a better opportunity to create a better life for our kiddos.

So this arrived today. I’m really, really, really looking forward to having much cleaner oil changing experiences from this point forward!

Well stated. One thing to note is an individuals comfort level also plays a factor. An area that you or I might not be comfortable in, might work perfectly fine for a fellow human.

But I will say MD has some seedy areas. Moving from out of state it was definitely a challenge finding a place I feel comfortable calling home. The country sounds awesome - but gotta go where the jobs, and to certain degree people, exist.

morning maryland. since i last checked in i've hung some game cameras in the woods i hunt to start patterning deer for september, ordered the HF badlands winch (25% off on memorial day, waiting for my relentless stingray bumper insert to come to get it installed- that's going to be a fun, heavy job in the driveway) and have been working in the garden (finally got some cages around the strawberries so no more feeding the neighborhood squirrels). hope you're all doing well.

This is totally off topic but I wanted to post a quick shout out/recommendation for the Cap World that’s in Gaithersburg (on E. Diamond Ave).

As some of you may know from my posts, I ordered an ARE cap like 4 months ago. It still hasn’t arrived and the latest update from ARE is that they “can’t give me an estimated ship date”. I had an appointment scheduled at the Cap World to have the cap installed this week because it was supposed to arrive several weeks ago.

Today I called Cap World just to cancel the install appointment since we have no clue when ARE will even ship the cap. Cap World went above and beyond and in their own words said that ARE was being “ridiculous”. I had mentioned that I have a big trip coming up and I really was hoping I would have the cap by now.

The woman I spoke with went out of her way to call the regional manager and then offered me a free loaner cap…How awesome is that? She checked their inventory and said they had a cap in their show room that would fit my truck and if I didn’t want the loaner (a Leer) they would be happy to cancel my order and give me a full refund.

I never asked for anything from them, simply just called to cancel & reschedule my install appointment. So if anyone has any cap/bed cover needs I highly recommend them. They went out of their way to right a wrong that wasn’t their fault in any way. I’ve previously had them install two bed covers (my Tacoma and my precious truck) and can vouch for their installations as well.
